Reddit TIM's Period

The way these TIMs fetishise the female menstrual cycle is so offensive.
"I know they're the same body parts but in a different shape," is such an absolutely mad assertion, I can't fathom how anyone takes these mentally ill people seriously.

Why not claim to be a humpback whale? The same body parts, but in a different shape 😃🐋

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're "the same", but there are male and female body parts which are sort of equivalent to each other, like the penis and clitoris. Perhaps that's what this person means.

Or they could just be talking nonsense...

FionnulaTheCooler · 14/07/2025 22:21

Perhaps they should see a urologist if they're experiencing regular genital pain.

Crouton19 · 14/07/2025 22:22

Potentially that app is collecting a lot of useful data on TIWs and how their bodies respond to testosterone, the sort of data gender clinics should be collecting...

Not sure I would trust a TIM who claimed to have a period to keep an accurate record of mood and physical changes, but still, using an app keep track of things is not a bad idea.

KnottyAuty · 14/07/2025 22:30

I might be missing something but they don't specifically state that they have had their penis removed and a neovagina installed. They simply state that they have pain sometimes in their genitalia. The fact that they don't understand the Clue prompt speaks volumes; they obviously aren't getting the symptom! And why would they because their labia are cosmetic appendages and not the real thing FFS?

Then there is the complete lack of understanding of the female cycle over and how taking oestrogen hormones can never ever reproduce that. It is parody and insulting - I find it as bad as black-face. It's a weird fascination which would historically have been satiated by train spotting and fixating on how train signals work. How utterly ridiculous this behaviour is.

I agree and for the same reason I wouldn’t trust data from TIM athletes who want access to women’s sport. There’s no way of making sure the data is unbiased.

I stopped using Clue years ago when they changed their policy on who the app is aimed at. I wrote to them to let them know why and to ask them to delete my data.

It talks of transmen on HRT. Is that true? Why would a natal female who wants to be a man be on (female) hormone replacement therapy?

From what I can see, in genderist circles HRT is used to describe any exogenous hormones taken by a transitioning person. So for transmen HRT would likely be testosterone.

Honestly I'm guessing this guy works for, or is in some way getting paid by, Clue just so they can try and attract more users.

Menopause?

The hug boxing and gaslighting in these communities is so huge. Males who identify as trans don't have periods or a cycle. They do not have a uterus, ovaries or a female body in any way shape or form. However Physiologic Autogynephilia means that for some males simulating or pretending to have a period, or breastfeeding or pregnancy becomes a very compelling course of action.

We also know that much of what is posted on reddit is total fantasy for many of them tales of period pains, cycles even stories about passing or being hit on are total fabrications which shouldn't be too surprising given the fantasy world these people often live in.

I tend to think its just a fantasy, along with the supposed friends who have noticed his "cycle" and the female friend who recommended the app is also a total fabrication. However you might be on to something, given the current climate in the US many women are wary about using apps to track their periods and so perhaps this is a novel way to try and target a new bunch of paying customers?
