I hope it's okay to post a thread on this musician who could really do with support right now. She has seen her work dry up after she made a post supporting the Supreme Court ruling which led to a pile on, followed by a quiet cancellation.

The irony that the abusive post about Molly in the screenshot above calling her a flat earther! It would be funny if it wasn't so horrible for Molly being cancelled. So standing up for reality deserves punishment? Also, its the gender goons that are like flat earthers. Jeez. Denying reality and biology.

Calling GC people 'flat earthers' is one of the ways that TRAs are taking words and phrases that have been used to critique their ideology over the years, and turning them back on GC people.

Another one is 'cognitive dissonance', 'you have been lied to' and 'there's the real law and there's the way you think the law should be' - all phrases often used to challenge trans ideology, and recently spotted on here used by TRAs.

They are clearly lacking in any independent thought, so just parrot back things they've heard GC people saying🙄

I think there's already something about Molly on Craicnet.

Good piece @UtopiaPlanitia . Gript one of the few sites that covers GC fairly in Ireland. They are a bit to the right of me , politically , but what can you do. The Irish left have swallowed gender identity ideology hook line and sinker

So much of this going on. And good for John Boyne. When well-known figures like him speak up, it can have a real effect.

This is so unfair and I hope Molly can ride it out and earn some new fans along the way. I am absolutely sick of cancel culture and the spineless virtue-signallers who uphold it. We need more people to stand up to these cowards. Good to see Roisin Murphy has reached out to Molly:

Roisin also stands by her comments on puberty blockers. As she should. It blows my mind that anyone would make excuses for medicalising healthy children and damaging their bodies in the name of gender ideology. Shame on everyone who championed and applauded this dreadful practice. And shame on everyone who has tried to erase women.

I didn't realise Molly had been so vocal about it, I thought she had just made a remark about women being biological females or something, which is usually enough to merit a pile-on and cancellations.

In fact there's nothing throw-away about it at all, she has obviously thought the issue through, and isn't afraid to present her thoughts clearly and in detail.
I admire her even more now, and I'm glad she's getting so much support.

Róisín Murphy got lots of new fans when she was criticised for being ahead of the curve with her public criticism of puberty blockers - I remember one poster saying that she was playing RM on the school run and she must have had good speakers in the car because one of her kids said something like 'Muuuum, that music's making my tummy jump!'

Molly O'Mahony has potentially found a whole new audience - I haven't listened to her yet, I hope I like her music as much as I like RM's, though it's obviously a different genre - it was no hardship buying everything RM as a gesture of support, including the T-shirts, as I'd loved her music for years anyway

@MarieDeGournay I’ve listened to Molly on Instagram and she is very talented, lovely acoustic guitar playing and singing. 👏🏻 Not exactly tummy jumping - more folky and relaxed. I have so much admiration for her and wish her all the best.
