Tribunal Tweets have updated their substack with a document regarding applying for access to observe the restarted hearing from 16/7.

It looks like you need to apply prior to tomorrow to access the links.

Wow.

I won’t be. I can’t possibly have another few days when I get nothing done, transfixed by the shower that it was last time.

I hope lots of people do though. It was a joyful thing.

TheAutumnCrow · 08/07/2025 11:21

I can’t commit to watching daily so I’ll not be requesting access, but I’ll be following on MN and X!

NotNatacha · 08/07/2025 11:30

From other threads I understand there’s a total of 300 places for the general public, and it's ‘first come first served,’ organised by time of requesting access, in deciding who gets it.

I don’t know if I was reading too much into it, but I got the impression that if you are granted access but don’t use it then your place will be given to another. If you do get access you have to sign in 30 minutes before the session, which I’m pretty sure didn’t happen before.

GalacticGymnastic · 08/07/2025 11:53

It also says that you will be sent access if successful and not if not. But no timeline. So those who may want to clear work or make arrangements to be able to log in 30 mins before etc may not get enough wanting to do so.

Seems a very odd and not entirely in the spirit system.

Only 300, that’s annoying. Was it restricted last time?

It was restricted last time only when the system collapsed under the strain (& a lot fewer than 300 were observing). They pulled remote access for the last few days of the hearing & we all had to rely on Tribunal Tweets.

I applied but I didn't get an autoreply as someone else reported having; possibly because I had already emailed them earlier, and been told to come back later? Don't think I'll try chasing them, I'll just wait and see whether I get a link.

GravyOnToast · 08/07/2025 13:45

I'm away on hols next week so won't apply for the link but will say a big thanks in advance here because I know there will be several stalwarts keeping up a commentary for those who are unable to listen live. Legends the lot of you.

KeepTalkingBeth · 08/07/2025 15:28

Bumping for whoever can make it. I'll be at work and following on MN as the last time.

I can't wait - hoping Dr. Upton makes another appearance, the previous one was priceless

NotNatacha · 08/07/2025 17:44

The link to the order which explains the access arrangements was given on this thread by @NebulousSupportPostcard on· 02/07/2025 at 12:22. Grateful thanks to them.

I tried, and failed, to attach the link directly.

NotNatacha · 08/07/2025 17:56

That document explains that there will be a clerk in each virtual room. There are 5 clerks available, so 5 rooms.

Second attempt at attaching the document. The long Note at the bottom of it gives further information.

Stychie · 08/07/2025 19:02

That’s my application in 🍿

Initially it wasn't restricted and worked fine at the beginning of the week. But as the week went on the numbers of people increased so did the instances of people coming into the hearing with their mics and videos on which was disruptive. It all got closed down when someone (a bloke I think) started to loudly blow dry their obvious wig and I think after that everyone got banned apart from the parties, the media and TT. It was clearly deliberate sabotage but it's annoying that the court are so inept at managing the remote technology. They could either live stream so that unlimited numbers could watch or automatically mute people on entry. It will be annoying if they've had all this time and still not worked out how to allow for genuine open justice.

Hopefully that will allow for a couple of hundred in each room.

Edited

They could absolutely live stream with no problem at all. I don't understand why they don't.

POWNewcastleEastWallsend · 09/07/2025 05:02

Deadline to request access 5pm Wed 9 July.

I assume that if they are opening it up to public viewing again that they have worked out how to stop wankers wazzocks sabotaging the proceedings

🤞

ArabellaScott · 09/07/2025 07:45

It would be very very easy to turn off everyone's cameras and mics.

I dont think I can dedicate days to watching this, unfortunately. Looking forward to Tribunal Tweets covering, and remember they are supported by donations.
