God I love this woman.
And Akua Reindorf, KC.

If I see them out, I'm buying them a drink.

Wonderful

congratulations to all those involved…a bloody vets practice should know better!

SailingWonder · 05/07/2025 12:51

Apparently vets are generally bonkers on this issue. Well done Alison!

cloudyblueglass · 05/07/2025 12:52

Fantastic

AWanderingFool · 05/07/2025 12:59

This makes me so angry. The vets had no business becoming so involved with trans ideology.

And now, because of the potential costs, animals may well suffer as a result of reduced veterinary services in the area. And some gender critical people may feel they have to find a different practice just to feel more comfortable.

But no, it's got to be all about the trans, which has eff all to do will poorly animals!

moto748e · 05/07/2025 13:08

I suppose if doctors can swallow this rubbish, then vets can too. It seems these days that just 'doing your fucking job' is almost an old-fashioned concept. Compared to bringing your whole self to work, etc. But well done to AB for nailing it. Businesses behaving like this cannot be allowed to get away with it.

RayonSunrise · 05/07/2025 13:10

She is magnificent.

heldinadream · 05/07/2025 13:15

She's bloody brilliant. Well done Alison and thank you for fighting on behalf of women, sanity, lesbians, young people, and everyone else who this benefits.

Shedmistress · 05/07/2025 13:20

I mean of all the people to deregister, you choose Allison Bailey. It all comes out in the disclosure.

And setting a precedent, top work.

Absentmindedsmile · 05/07/2025 13:29

Linnaeus owned by MARS. Disgusting corporate money grabbing organisation purporting to be lovely caring vets. They charge a fortune, and are not independent vets. Grim.

My guess is that some CEO or senior managers there, are trans / have ‘trans kids’.

Anyway this is brilliant news. Well done AB etc al. 👏🏻 🎉

Allison Bailey. She's done it again.
Absentmindedsmile · 05/07/2025 13:31

If you use a vets, check if it’s owned by these cretins. Then change, if you can! It’s often hidden on their websites, not announced in the practice.

CaptainCarrotsBigSword · 05/07/2025 13:34

Whoop!!

logiccalls · 05/07/2025 13:38

O.K. Let's have Alison on a banknote!

Services will include health services. So, no more patients being raped by fellow 'women' on women's wards. No more burly bearded 'female' doctors or nurses or carers, when women request same-sex care.

All public services, notably education, will have to abandon the Stonewall fantasy. So, no more parents having to withdraw their children from school or nursery, because of pro-fetishist indoctrination, or books, or practices. No more girls fearing 'female' males in their changing rooms or toilets.

eurochick · 05/07/2025 14:50

Another fantastic result!

SternJoyousBee · 05/07/2025 15:03

Brilliant! I confess to being skeptics when I first heard if this case but I should have known better that Alison would not have brought forth a frivolous case 🍾🍾🍾🍾

SternJoyousBee · 05/07/2025 15:17

*skeptikal.

🙄

I did wonder if there was a SAR that provided evidence that they acted based on ABs gender critical knowledge.

BriefHug · 05/07/2025 15:24

It's worth reading the full judgement (on AB's website) - I couldn't understand how, exactly, a vet practice could 'sack' a client for reasons of gender critical disagreements, but it sounds like it was a Whole Thing, complete with seething vet nurses concocting retrospective notes about 'vile' behaviour, random encounters in support groups, alleged face-offs in reception about Milbemax, alleged GDPR breaches around the medical history of an Airedale terrier called Jonty, and inevitably, a senior male vet hiding in his room to avoid confrontations...

Edited

My guess would be nurses and perhaps younger female vets.

Sadly, vet nurses are appallingly underpaid. Many with get-up-and-go and ability tend to leave general practice and go do something that is rewarded better. Those left are often young and idealistic.

And I suspect all the vet schools are hopelessly overrun with transactivism. No need for top-down enforcement.

MelodyMalone · 05/07/2025 16:13

It sounded on initial information like a tough one to prove, but clearly this was not the case!

Well done Allison, it did seem hard to believe that she with all her experience would have brought a "frivolous" sounding case.

MelodyMalone · 05/07/2025 16:59

Relationships within the practice may be strained now, with one vet having been branded a "coward" in court...

thenoisiesttermagant · 05/07/2025 17:16

It's profoundly weird he didn't give evidence. Although being a coward might be the reason, I suppose.

Not that I particularly blame him for being a coward about scientific reality when faced with the transactivist slide the (IIRC) senior clinical lead used in a team meeting. I mean you just know at that point no deviation or alternate opinions will be allowed. Even if it all flies in the face of the very medicine you're supposed to be practising.

It's all very strange. As a senior vet, and one who maintained a good relationship even with an allegedly 'difficult' client, you'd think he could get a job wherever he likes. Supposedly he was a sex realist and honestly, who doesn't want that in a vet? Otherwise you could be inundated with unwanted baby animals if you have a vet who's more concerned with 'gender' rather than sex.

But they wouldn’t have the power to ban a fee paying client, surely. All these chain vets care about, is money. And apparently bitches having penises.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 06/07/2025 22:32

Do they have any trans animals? I'm betting not.
