Just saw this on Facebook and am wondering what they are aiming for to achieve from it. It feels like they are trying to jump on to a bandwagon.

Oh dear. Lol. Not a brand I buy anyway due to his links with fox hunting, but it’s clear I am not missing out!

Jumping on a bandwagon as it disappears into the distance, more like. Utterly tragic.

MarieDeGournay · 28/06/2025 16:22

OK we've had the tone police, and the toilet police, but will someone please call the Fashion Police on that outfit?😱

I’ve recently been saying “jumping on a bandwagon just as it falls in to a ditch” about this ideology. Similar vibes!

Imicola · 28/06/2025 16:26

Argh, my eyes!

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 28/06/2025 16:27

I mean, if you're a pre-schooler.....

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 28/06/2025 16:31

Tbh I have zero problem with brands engaging with trans influencers, displaying male models wearing dresses or make up...
Anyone can wear these and yes, I think that is an important part of Pride.

That wouldn't stop me shopping at Boden in itself.

That outfit though 😱😱😱 what were any of them thinking?!

That's exactly what I thought of too!

Temporaryusernamefortoday · 28/06/2025 19:16

First name Chandler and describes themselves as none binary. As long as they don’t try and access female only spaces, I don’t mind if they were Boden or Asda! As far as I’m concerned a man can wear as many dresses as he likes as long as he doesn’t try and proclaim that makes him female!

Davros · 28/06/2025 19:19

Aren’t models usually supposed to look good?

KiIIingMeDeftly · 28/06/2025 19:22

Oh that's Chandler Tregaskas, the style editor at Tatler. Not the first magazine that comes to mind when you see Chandler!

KiIIingMeDeftly · 28/06/2025 19:22

And yes, the STYLE editor...

Myalternate · 28/06/2025 19:38

Wow! that is so hideous 🫣🤢

Oh DEAR

MistyGreenAndBlue · 28/06/2025 19:51

I mean, it's all pretty bad but it's the jaunty beret that finishes it for me. 😂

Dumbo12 · 28/06/2025 19:51

The boots and socks alone should disqualify that!

ArabellaScott · 28/06/2025 20:37

'I was lucky to grow up with a transgender parent, so labels and pronouns have felt less important to me than some. Coming of age in an environment where I could experiment with wearing dresses, make-up, wigs and even fake breasts, I came to the conclusion quite early on that I was neither a man nor a woman, and that that is completely fine. It’s a privilege that so many young people don’t have access to.'
'While I’ve never felt I’ve had to prove my non-binary identity to anyone, in recent years assumptions that I’m cisgendered have been more recurrent due to natural progressions in a male-born body ambiguously approaching its thirties.'

I’m non-binary: this is what it’s like to attend Royal Ascot when you’re queer

Tatler’s Style Editor heads to Berkshire for his societal debut at Royal Ascot after years skirting the historic event because of its excessively male dress code

MarieDeGournay · 28/06/2025 20:46

'I’ve often felt that dress codes should be dependent on levels of chic, rather than gender-focused check lists'

Um..... can we have a little chat about what 'levels of chic' means to you, Chandler? And another one with the Tatler about what 'style editor' means to them?😦

ShawnsLeftEyebrow · 28/06/2025 20:47

Aww, I had something very like that in the 80s.

Not that that means it was a good idea then either.

TheCatsTongue · 28/06/2025 20:52

How exactly did this geezer get to be Tatler's style editor?

Style Editor 🤣🤣🤣

Sadly I can’t unsee that ridiculous outfit. Do I need to buy shares in the eye bleach company if this is the fashion standard these days?

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 28/06/2025 21:02

Crikey. Boden seem to have literally lost their minds recently. Not with regard to men in frocks but on the style front. Last season’s Union Jack range was bordering on a war crime.

as PP’s say, as long as chappie stays away from women’s stuff he can crack on. I won’t be taking any style advice from him

IDontHateRainbows · 28/06/2025 21:03

They're trying to make money by tapping into the trans pound. Not realizing this will probably be offset by losing the terf pound!
