I haven’t had time to read anything but the headline points and quotes.

But the censorship by cancel culture and discrimination against writers gives me so much upset.

I have spent my working life supporting and fighting for free expression in the arts.

Salman Rashdie was almost killed for his right to publish his work.

No one who supports selective censorship or a compromise to free expression deserves a job in publishing.

Good report, and it's sickening to see what depraved children's books have been traditionallly published that peddle this wicked ideology, like Juno Dawson's filth aimed at primary-school-age kids.

Love it or hate it, Amazon has been a lifesaver for GC authors to self publish. I listened to a WRN podcast with Drew Augustine, author of 'The Twenty Murders' who said no agent would touch the book, although she's a best-selling author under a different name. Her book is deliciously non-woke and my husband has read it 3 times, so if you want novels free from DEI guff, find them on Amazon, not supermarket shelves or large bookshop chains as the big 5 publishers control those.

The market will punish these publishers, but it's going to take time.

I met her earlier this year, and won her book in the raffle!
