I hadn't heard of this walk before. A worthy cause. And great to see the fabulous Legal Feminist team will be walking on it.

This will raise the profile of feminist issues as well as money, hopefully.

'Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 2025 London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 17th June to help those in need gain access to life-changing free legal advice.

Legal Feminist is a group of female lawyers interested in a feminist analysis of law, and legal analysis of feminism.

Our team is: Naomi Cunningham, Rachel Rowles Davis, Amanda Jones, Hannah Quirk

We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST). Last year, LLST's special 20th anniversary Walk raised a record breaking £1million, which supported thousands of people accessing justice.

Many people across the UK cannot afford legal help and are at risk of going without justice when they need it most. One fifth (21%) of the UK population live in poverty - equivalent to around 14 million people.

The London Legal Support Trust raises funds to help maintain free legal advice charities in London and the South East.'

I haven't heard of it either, well done all of them for coming together and doing this, I hope they raise enough to top last years amount.

I think it has been going on for some time.

eg Rights of Women usually take part.

Last night a group of Rights of Women staff, trustees and volunteers walked 10km through the heart of London, alongside the legal community, to raise funds to support access to justice and free legal advice.

It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time with others who care passionately about justice and women’s rights.

Yep virtually every legal institution does it. All money goes into the same pot. I donated to their pot as an open gesture of support, as well as to the pots of various solicitors, my own chambers etc.

I think the "pot" is still open so anyone wanting to add some seeds or whatever. Smile

This is great. I am linked to Naomi and others on LinkedIn and would’ve been there if I could.

It was a huge event this year. I didn’t see the Legal Feminist team when I was walking but I would have given them a cheer if I had. It is a worthy cause so all spare pennies are welcome, whatever team you donate through.
