What a good idea!

And I assume they mean real women this time- no small print!

Women-only tower block in Acton to open next summer

Brook House in west London will be a "UK first" in providing homes exclusively for women.

I think the issue is that in this scenario, it seemed to go against the purpose of the units to have the tenancy pass on to a male person.

Of course some people don't really think social housing tenancy should ever be passed on. There are valid reasons for that perspective, it's not some kind of far out idea.

Well obviously not if the block is women only.

I was responding the posts up thread that talked about their shouldn't be sucession rights on social housing.

Its funny how proposals are always about making cuts to the rights of those with the least, rather than making cuts from those who not only have enough but more than enough!

II mean - most people who don't want social housing tenancies passed on think that way because it's their view social housing should go to the most vulneerable.

Just because someone has such a tenancy passed on to them does not mean they are particularly in need of it.
