Apologies if there's a thread already but I couldn't see one. It's incredibly important that lots of people who understand sex respond to the consultation as there will be lots of responses from the other side! Sex Matters have issued guidance here

This could be a place to discuss our responses as well. Deadline Monday 30th June.

I've just done it today. It was quite interesting too. I also felt quite a bit of sadness. The biggest demographic mentioned was trans women, with trans men getting a rare mention and women not that much at all.
I do think the proposed guidance is pretty decent but it really stood out how much was just about trying to allow women their own spaces.
I also recommend completing each section even if you agree with it because there's an agree/disagree rating on each so it'll make it clear.

Just to add, as this has come up on other threads, please do NOT follow the Sex Matters Guidance to copy and paste.

Please use your own words.

It is well known that what seem to be duplicate responses are binned as not seen being genuine responses but just generated by a campaign group.

Thanks for the reminder

Bumping this because my org has just sent out internal comms about the consultation, offering us guidance from the LGBTQI+ (I think, might have missed or even added one or two ) network.
That'll be a nice weekend job of a) filling in the consultation and b) comparing the two sets of guidance. Sigh.

Well lets hope there is a copy and paste option, and then all their responses will be binned for being duplications!

Oh I do hope so! It was genuinely a little unsettling reading the comms, all written as though EVERYONE would of course agree. But still, marginalised...

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 18/06/2025 19:52

What sort of org is that pontefractals if you don't mind me asking? - public sector, private company, charity,...? And why do they think it's their business to tell people how to respond?!

MsGoodenough · 29/06/2025 13:06

Deadline is tomorrow! Please please please respond to the EHRC consultation if you can. I'm under cover in a few TRA groups and they're all organising mass responsathons where they are all on zoom writing and sending their responses together. We need as many sane responses as possible!

You could say those same words about how creepy it is when stalkers creep around the FWR board.

MsGoodenough · 29/06/2025 17:07

Indeed. I also never post on TRA forums; I just read and learn. An approach our visitors might benefit from...

@BeeSouriante oh glad you are back. Maybe you could answer the questions people are asking you on the threads you started? Normally when one starts a thread it is usual to engage properly with responses.

334bu · 29/06/2025 19:06

This is an important consultation, let's hope they get loads of responses.

2Rebecca · 29/06/2025 19:19

Filling in mine currently. You can do it in bits and save it. Worth doing even if you just yes no the answers. The TRAs are doing it. Ends 23.59 tomorrow

WithSilverBells · 29/06/2025 20:02

Done. Used my own words.

EmpressaurusKitty · 29/06/2025 20:04

I did it tonight, using my own words and the Sex Matters guidance. It took about 20 minutes.

Redshoeblueshoe · 29/06/2025 20:15

Thanks for that 2Rebecca I've not done it yet, and I'd rather leave it until tomorrow, so that's good to know.

PencilsInSpace · 30/06/2025 08:42

Bump!

Last day to respond to this.

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 09:02

The survey relates to how clear the judgment is, not whether you agree with the judgement or not, of course. I imagine most TRA responses will reveal this point has yet to be grasped, let alone accepted.

loveyouradvice · 30/06/2025 11:09

Bumping again - just completed - today is the FINAL DAY
