Legislate the penis

Not sure if this is deserving of it's own thread but I came across the hashtag #LegislateThePenis on IG earlier. It was said by someone with she/her pronouns in her bio (ie someone who is not GC) in the context of American abortion rights.

I found it interesting mostly due to the fact that the UK is trying so hard to "legislate the penis" and my goodness isn't the outrage, violence and vitriol just something else. How dare women tell a penis haver what they may and may not do.

What’s it supposed to mean in terms of abortion? Fully in favour of penis legislation though 😂

I honestly wasn't sure...possibly something to do with rape? Or maybe contrasting how differently men and women are treated?

There was a senator a few years ago who tried to get a bill passed to make it illegal for men to masturbate, iirc. All those little tiddly potential lives😥 It wasn't a serious attempt. She was making a point about abortion. Perhaps this is something similar? Changing the focus around unwanted pregnancy and sexual assault?

Afaic, all people* with penises (penes?) should be legislated - and listed, with full details of the offending (offensive) item so that if it misbehaves it can be identified.

OK, I'm partly being stupid, but I'm not advocating a myriad of dicpics. "Details" does not mean photo.

*I've put it like this to be amusing, not because I'm suggesting that we can have them.
