I would like to start a movement whereby every time you hear (or read) the insidious and disingenuous phrase, "Trans women exist," the automatic response should be, "Woman exist."

Anyone like to join up?

This is on the baby centre website? And the posters on there don't believe in biology?

How did each couple decide who was going to carry the baby? Flipping coins?

They don't think womanhood is biological. They think it's mental.

I think that's incredibly regressive and sexist, but hey ho. They can believe what they want I guess.

The really important thing people with this view need to be asked is not "why do you believe TWAW" because that just comes down to a battle of language and belief.

The really important question is "if womanhood is in the mind not the body, why is it that transwomen so need to be included in things intended for people with female bodies? Why exactly is it such a problem to have single sex services, protections and supports for people with female bodies if gender is about how you feel not what sex you are?"

Also, as they say it's based on feelings, the question I wonder is why can manhood not encompass all men?
In reality it does as all men are men but some pretend or feel they don't fit in. Somehow they imagine this makes them women as some kind of solution to their feelings. They just need to accept they are men who may not always conform with stereotypes.

The "existing" thing isn't just TRAs, it seems to get weirdly used by all of that political tribe.

You'll see phrases like "Black bodies are not allowed to just exist." Or I once in a library professionals discussion about how to manage the needs of differernt groups in the library say "the purpose of a library is to let people exist without paying."

It's an interesting development and I could be quite worth unpacking why they are so inclined to use that kind of language, why they see it as so meaningful.

What a waste of time

Agreed, if gender woo didn't exist it wouldn't waste time.
