I can't bear anything about boys in girls' sport. It's so desperately unfair to the girls. I can't actually believe the Democrats are doubling down on this nonsense instead of grabbing the lifeline Donald Trump threw them. All they had to say was. 'OK. Trump has made us keep sport divided by sex because of title 9 so there's nothing we can do.' and by the next election this idiocy would be over and they could pretend they never wanted to erase girls' sport on behalf of a few boys. Oh, and of course it's The Guardian.

It’s one of their mad US genderist writers. The one who wrote an article slapping down the UK Guardian for having the temerity to print a balanced article about UK law during the self ID consultation in 2018. Nasty little misogynist.

It's only relatively recently that not being able to compete internationally has become a thing.

It's insane because unless something happens to suddenly make genderism (male people in females' sports, unlimited access to women's single sex spaces, transing of kids, censorship over these and other issues) become popular with the US public, then in the next few elections, Democratic candidates will be asked whether they sign up to genderism and they won't be able to give a straight answer. "Yes" will alienate the public. "No" will end up with them being the subjects of witchhunts in their party.

It also completely undermines the Democrats when they argue that the Republicans are crackpot science denialists.

Democrat: "But you believe Covid came from a lab in China!"

Republican: "Yeah, but you and your lot believe that people can change sex and treatments for that should be given to children."

Something tells me the public will be far more uncomfortable over the responding statement.

There's a non-trivial chance that JB Pritzker will be the next Democratic presidential candidate.

The attack ads write themselves: Pritzker wants to chop your kid's bollocks off.

Or it might be Gavin Newsom, which would raise the self-ID laws which have made California a flasher's paradise.

He can still steal a sports scholarship to a university from a girl, thus saving money. I think its for that not a future international career.

Interesting that they've introduced a rule that if a TiM gets a medal place then the actual girl who finishes after them is deemed to tie with them. Not sure how this flows through all down the rankings though or how it affects any scholarships. It seems a somewhat fair compromise for something like athletics as long as it's ensured that no girl is losing out (if that's even possible to ensure). Of course it wouldn't work for any sport with a contact or team element.
