JK Rowling says the new 'Be Afraid' slogan is the trans movement's 'most honest to date'

A 'violent ex con' ranted outside Downing Street that women's rights campaigners such as JK Rowling and Kellie-Jay Keen should 'be afraid of us'

"The new trans activist 'Be Afraid' slogan is simply their most honest to date. They've always wanted women scared, which is why they routinely make physical threats. The more interesting point is, why does a violent ex-con feel so untouchable that he can do this in public?"

Bit of a tabloid style report, but was unaware of this new campaign slogan.

Barker is saying the loud part out loud.

Yes and has done before.

We need more news sources making this public these threats so at least some people start to realise why women are justified by why claims of right of access to women's services and events feel like a threat.

It's kind of ironic that the iconic 'Be afraid. Be very afraid' Labour poster from 2001 had William Hague's face superimposed on Maggie's! Still more convincing a "laydee" than this convicted torturer/murderer is.

BettyBooper · 05/06/2025 23:34

Men say 'be afraid ' to women.

So nothing new here. 🧐

unwashedanddazed · 05/06/2025 23:44

So our choices are be kind, or be afraid.

Fuck off.

colourmystic · 06/06/2025 04:30

They've always been this aggressive. They've learned they're allowed to, so it'll get worse.

FeministUnderTheCatriarchy · 06/06/2025 04:58

Men acting like men. Hardly a surprise.

They do like to pick and choose. They fetishise stereotypes about women whilst staying true to the statistically violent and aggressive nature of their biology as men.

And yet we should have them in our spaces whilst going through miscarriages, in domestic violence shelters, prisons, mental health facilities and all the other places we are most vulnerable.
(which really, as women is basically everywhere.)

We need to be vocal and hold the line so more women feel like they can speak out. We have been prosecuted and silenced, but the tides are beginning to turn.

I am afraid of Sarah Jane Baker.

That's the point.

DefineHappy · 06/06/2025 08:21

I’d like to know what the threshold is for the police to take the threats seriously, especially given his history and parole conditions.

Yes, exactly. There’s hardly ever any penalty even for overt trans violence against women in public and with police watching, eg at Let Women Speak events.

So of course they feel encouraged to ramp up the violence and the threats.

LeftieRightsHoarder · 06/06/2025 09:57

And yes, I am afraid of male violence. I have been injured by it in the past. That’s why I oppose men getting into single-sex spaces. They are so nice and respectful. Until they’re not.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 06/06/2025 10:00

They are becoming more dangerous as the tide is most definitely turning now. People are waking up from the madness of the last decade.

Me too. I read a harrowing story from his victim who said he still feels fear about baker even now. It's awful.

lifeturnsonadime · 06/06/2025 10:10

When you fail to make misogyny a hate crime this is how the men who larp as women can behave with impunity.

Submit to our wishes or we might hurt you is about as overt as you can get.

Sickening.

Police are maybe disheartened by the fact the judge decided last time his public incitement to punch women in the 'fucking face' was just all lols.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-66676737

'When Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram found Baker not guilty, the public gallery applauded.
He said he was not sure that when she said the words she did she had intended for them to be acted on, and added he thought it was possible that - as the defendant had told the court - "you said it because you wanted the publicity".'

'Ikram, who turns 60 next year, has arguably become Britain’s most controversial judge in recent years.
From “liking” a post on social media that described Israel as a “terrorist” state, to deciding not to jail three pro-Palestine protesters he found guilty of brandishing images of Hamas paragliders, and finding a transgender activist who told a crowd to “punch a terf” not guilty of intentionally encouraging the commission of an offence, Ikram’s actions have repeatedly drawn public criticism.'

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 06/06/2025 10:54

I suppose it's more cohesive branding than #BeKind for the MRA movement. Harder to get on a t-shirt in the children's clothing department though.

This.

The sooner that people start to see the crossover on this the better.
