But the newly-worded event says it's for "women and trans women". But... I thought their Kool Aid was that TWAW. So by listing "women and trans women" they're acknowledging that TW are not women, right? How is that more inclusive by their own standards? I can't get my head around this. It's internally inconsistent.
The mind just boggles at the faulty logic inherent in this whole thing.

I guess that’s why they haven’t said ‘only’ - so they can argue it’s a session aimed at women and TW (bc they have so much in common) rather than exclusively for these two groups, but they obviously can’t exclude other men.

Is there a script for these apologies? they’re so grovelling it makes me feel sick, especially in the context of a sauna where single sex sessions make sense, how could anyone be offended by that?

This could be either from a man who for direct sex discrimination (like in the WI thread) or from a woman for indirect discrimination (because there is no single sex facility available).

Given the route the spa has gone down - to create a mixed-sex space which excludes some but not all males - I assume a man challenging them for direct sex discrimination would be more successful.

Edited to add: IMNAL but I don't think the use or absence of the word "only" would change this.

Sod theyet more 'LGBT inclusion training' which very obviously has been men's rights training, some women's groups need to get in there and teach them about actual diversity, stat. They have major issues.

I regularly thank my lucky stars that I live a really really long way from Brighton. I recently met a couple trying to move away from Brighton. They were very motivated to move. I wonder why.

This is a real shame. I love that sauna and use it a lot.

Last week the TRA tantrum was about women having a consultation on women’s health in the library. Before that the tantrum was about lesbians wanting to celebrate same-sex attraction at Pride. This week it’s about women wanting a peaceful sauna without being ogled by men.

I wonder what next week’s tantrum will be 🙄
