'He likes to parade around the women's locker completely naked in front of women and children,'

Speshul type of man....showing his 'Pre-op privates'. I'm sure there's another word for those...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14750847/sammy-trans-woman-san-francco-protestors-womens-locker-room-ymca.html

Female gymgoers in California's Bay Area are up in arms that they must share their locker room with a pre-operative trans woman named Sammy, leading to a tense standoff in one of the most liberal regions of the country.
Protesters have picketed outside two area YMCAs that Sammy is known to frequent, including the Stonestown Family YMCA in San Francisco, where dozens of members have petitioned to force her into the designated gender-neutral space.
YMCA officials have defended Sammy's use of the women's locker room, citing her 'civil rights' despite outrage from other members who feel uncomfortable seeing a hulky trans woman with male genitalia and 'slowly growing breasts' roaming around in front of women and children.
It has led to some nasty exchanges.
'He likes to parade around the women's locker completely naked in front of women and children,' Susan Pete, a 58-year member of the Stonestown Y, told DailyMail.com on a recent afternoon.
'He also likes to blow dry his hair while naked and bent over. I've seen that man more than most of my boyfriends.'
Some women have stopped coming, at least when Sammy's around. Others like Pete have stood their ground. The longtime Democrat grew so frustrated that she recently wrote President Trump asking him to intervene.

Gymgoers freak as trans woman flaunts pre-op privates in front of kids

A trans woman named Sammy has sparked a culture war inside a California gym as female gym goers were horrified to see her pre-op privates in the locker room while staff says she's harmless.

I find it unbelievable that society has fallen so much that anyone finds it acceptable for a grown man to flash his genitals in front of a child. What are the fathers of these children doing - are they complaining?

I agree this would be completely unacceptable.

If it happened.

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.

Out of interest, have any of the rest of you ever seen a woman in a communal changing room drying her hair before getting dressed?

I haven't.

Even my most comfortable-in-their-own-skin friends dry their bodies, get dressed and only then deal with their hair - at least in a communal changing room. Do men dry their hair before getting dressed? None of the ones in my life do. Are they unusual?

WHY CAN PEOPLE NOT SEE THAT THIS IS A PATTERN OF BEHAVIOUR THAT, EVEN WITH THE KINDEST OF BE-KIND SPECTACLES ON, IS NOT JUST ABOUT WANTING A SAFE SPACE TO PEE/CHANGE??? It is about the thrill of exposure, just the same as any common or garden flasher. Why is this not blindingly obvious?

Well, I'm a man, and this is bollocks. You get out of a shower, you dry the worst out of your hair, then you dry off your body, put on a dressing-gown, and finish off your hair later. Isn't this what most people do, men and women? You certainly don't parade around bollock-naked, drying your hair.

MrGHardy · 01/06/2025 03:33

her 'civil rights'

Guess women have no civil rights.

DH says that a lot of older men loiter with their willies fully exposed in the men’s room at our YMCA. It makes him uncomfortable too.

I interpreted it as meaning that she found herself in the ignominious position of having to appeal to Trump, and that she deserves that embarrassment.

And i really hope that she’s sat down and gone if I voted Kamala Harris in nobody would support me to get this sex offender out of our change rooms, I’d be vilified by them for wanting to be able to change without a sex offender watching.

boys and men sports clubs as far as I can tell just parade around naked half the time. Dhs teams di, and physio friends who did work experience stints at footy teams were, ummm, surprised. One close friend pulled out as she was not cool with just doing your work around a bunch of naked men.

mrshoho · 01/06/2025 10:18

Back in the day Sammy would have been ejected from the changing rooms and done for indecent exposure. These creeps are laughing at a society that openly tolerates their fetishism.

MagpiePi · 01/06/2025 10:31

Pre-operative, my arse.
I’d bet my house that Sammy doesn't have any plans for an operation.

MrsSkylerWhite · 01/06/2025 10:33

I have a lot of sympathy for trans people.

Thats just indecent exposure though, surely?

In this case, that would depend on the laws in California.

But in the UK, displaying the genitals is only indecent exposure if the intent is to cause alarm or distress.

So intent has to be proved. If it is usual for people to be naked in a changing space, surely the person in question could argue that their behaviour was normal and there was no such intent.

Of course, the venue might have its own rules on total nudity.

BundleBoogie · 01/06/2025 10:58

Exactly. When people were sane we assumed that all men showing their penis to women and children had malign intent. Now it’s arguable and apparently ‘acceptable’ for some men to expose themselves despite their intentions being impossible to prove either way*.

*I’m being generous - all men deliberately exposing themselves to women are the bad guys.

Of course it is. But all the ‘Be Kind’ing and ‘most vulnerable ever’ claptrap has led us to a point where hardly anybody dares point it out or act to stop it, least of all our utterly useless, totally captured police forces, which have abandoned all pretence of policing crimes against women.

We got to a point where it would be the women/girls who were subject to the flashing and voyeurism, who would be viewed as the wrongdoer if they dared to object to it.

It is a fucking disgrace.

We can only hope the SC decision slowly filters through and sanity and justice prevail once more.

Group showers at local swimming baths. Last time I went everyone showered in their swimsuits, no-one stripped off.

This was after hot yoga so no swimming costumes. But the main difference was that it was single sex. I'm sure some men would have loved the spectacle but they weren't allowed in...

IcyPlumOtter · 02/06/2025 01:16

BundleBoogie · 31/05/2025 19:47

Exactly!! There was a man who identified as a woman in the female changing rooms at the YMCA ‘helping’ little girls with their swimsuits, (a woman banned for raising this a safeguarding issue).

There was a man who identified as a woman in the female sauna in LA exposing his semi-erection to women and young girls who turned out to be a convicted sex offender.

There was a convicted sex offender exposing his genitalia to women at a gym in Canada.

There was a man who identified as a woman unnecessarily wandering around the female changing rooms at a swimming gala in this country where young girls were stripping off.

Men allowed into female changing rooms in High stores ogling and filming girls changing.

This is literally a perverts paradise. Any man who wants to indulge himself will benefit from the assumption he is trans and knows anyone trying to stop him will get punished.

Unbelievable

I was so angry when I read this story. What would happen if all the women just kept loudly offering him a towel? Would that be Transphobic? And how can anyone let their child attend this place?

My local pool has a "village" changing area, and mens and womens change rooms, and male and female disabled access change rooms (with swing chairs, for very disabled). I thought the village was great - three sides lined with cubicles, fourth side open space onto pool area. Any gender can use it. If you have an opposite sex child or person you're caring for, you can pop them in a cubicle and wait in the middle. And no creep can block someone in because it's completely open. It was designed by a LGBTQ+ team in consultation with all users of the pool who were interested. I think it really works for every one. Which informs my thinking that it's so fucking gross that this guy thinks he has to be in the women's rather than the gender neutral space to be trans - that's a lie, he wants to intimidate others.

Ed sorry, went a bit far.

" Oh,no! At Pride a transwoman showed my six-year old her penis and she screamed. Am I raising a bigot?"

That sounds good. So it has single sex rooms that the opposite sex are not allowed to use? (Sorry to make sure I’m reading your post correctly)

And this is in addition to the mixed sex areas (sadly accountable generally for the vast majority of voyeuristic and sexual assaults - councils know this but who cares about the safety of women and children)?

If so that sounds like a reasonable solution.

That's pretty standard isn't it? My swimming pool has cubicles (small and large for families/disabled) and single sex changing mainly used by school groups and when very busy. But a lot of gyms and health centres with small pools have less space and fewer people shower so mainly have single sex open areas.

There are quite a few cases now of transwomen using single sex facilities when there is mixed available, despite knowingly causing distress. For example, Hampstead Heath pools, the Sandie Peggie and Darlington nurses cases. Many more could no doubt request a private room in the UK anyway under the EA 2010.

These cases shows it's not just about access it is about wanting to be in the women's area, whether that's for validation, sexual, or under the delusion they "pass". To be clear, I am aware this isn't all trans people and some would probably welcome a third space as both men's and women's facilities are awkward for them.

Ah but then they are not trans but actually flasher gender and just at it and we can sort it out after the event… according to Nicola and Yousaf.

But do all the cubicles have gaps above / below the door? And anyone of either sex could be walking past the other side of the flimsy door? And if the bolt doesn't hold, your arse could be on display to the entire pool area?

If so, I don't think this is the great compromise it's being touted as.

I feel very vulnerable in these kinds of changing rooms.

If it's been designed so there are no 'blind spots' where 'bad actors' with malign intent could hide that's an improvement I guess, but it will still be unusable to vulnerable women (who were probably not part of the consultation).

It's still a worse option for most users than single sex.

My local pool has mixed showers on the poolside right in front of the sauna which are awful. I'm not shy but I became very aware of the men sitting in the sauna gazing out at me tryng to have a wash. Whether they meant to or not. I've stopped using the showers now 😞

Whilst we might not get fully dressed to blow dry our hair I’ve never seen a woman stark naked sorting out her hair. The very confident might do it in their (matching) underwear. And no woman would be bending over showing her arse to the rest of the room.

Generally, I don’t give two hoots about who’s in the next cubicle to me in the toilets but I absolutely draw the line at dicks in women’s changing rooms.

it’s no different to “flashing” which is a sex crime where I live!

I saw it in a changing room in China. Woman was stark naked, drying her hair and chatting to an attendant with her full hairy pubes showing too. And hairy armpits.

I was a kid then and I still remember it today. But I think under communism, most households didn't have their own bathrooms and had to go to the communal baths to bathe so even though we were at a fancy spa type place, she is still v comfortable showing her body.

I didn't grow up in China but I went to a daycare outside UK where all of us children would stand stark naked in a bathroom while our teacher hosed us down (it was a hot country). We would then queue up to be towelled dry by our teacher. I think that's why when I am at a communal changing room, I am v comfortable showing hairy pubes, or walking to my locker with only a thin towel. Wouldn't dry my hair before changing though (but that's because I tend to do makeup before drying hair and it's quite a long time to be standing in a cold room naked) and my underwear never matches.

Screamingabdabz · 04/06/2025 13:53

This is why I hate the repeated argument that women want exclude ‘trans’ people (…and they’re the most ‘vulnerable’ group blahdy de blah…)

NO. The exclusion applies to all the biological men.

Not all men are weirdo sexual predators and oddballs but enough to put girls and women at risk. I don’t care if they’re dainty and wear sparkly eyeshadow and called themselves a female name, or they are built like a brick shit house and have ‘nonce’ tattooed on their forehead. Not a single one of the fuckers should be in women’s changing rooms.
