Engender - An opportunity to tell them what you think

Engender, Scotland’s fully-captured so-called ‘gender equality’ lobbyists who think womanhood is an identity men can claim, have put out a survey with a satisfying number of free text spaces.

Enjoy.

Sorry couldn’t link directly as I had completed the survey

Did it too. Popped this in the free text.

Looking forward to their visit.

“Really disappointed with Engender’s reaction to the Supreme Court ruling. Your reaction appeared to completely ignore the clarity and protections for trans men's health and the ability for lesbians associate freely.

As a lesbian I have observed the erosion of our rights to be same sexed attracted. The homophobia integral to the gender-based movement has been a massive disservice to women and that your organisation has failed to protect the use of the terms “women” and “female” based on material reality has meant young lesbians have been driven into the closet with the no debate of the impact that the transrights movement has had on them.

Vulnerable women who have suffered sexual and violent abuse at the hands of men have had to share their prison spaces with known and convicted rapists.

My daughter has to negotiate an online world saturated with porn which as an organisation you have done little to address. Instead you have centred a tiny number of men identifying as women as it makes you feel progressive and looked like an easy win.

Start talking to actual real women and not your sacred caste and you might start addressing the truly vulnerable. And stop gaslighting biological women with your DARVO tactics.

Live in the real world not your rainbow utopia that frankly has done nothing of substance apart from give yourselves jobs to lecture the rest of us unenlightened folk.

Best of all if you can defend your position come try it on the Mumsnet FWR forums. Look forward to seeing you step out of your bubble if you dare. You might learn something from the transpeople who frequent it and the biological women who are their allies.

As you are a government funded body I expect my comment to be published as part of the report or update that comes from this survey and not hidden as it is too inconvenient.”

I read first that as Endgender..😄

Apollo441 · 29/05/2025 12:52

Done. No way they will publish them! (although I warned them I would complain if they didn't).

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 29/05/2025 13:32

Done. They're not going to like what I had to say.

Fgfgfg · 29/05/2025 13:47

Done.
I may have accused them of being cisphobic.

JazzyJelly · 29/05/2025 14:01

Done. Doubt they'll listen, but you would think it might give them pause if they get lots of responses from women asking them to support women's sex based rights. Like that Mitchell and Webb sketch - 'Are we the baddies?'.

Was it Edward Lord, corporation of London, who put out a survey about the women’s swimming pond then threw out any that disagreed with him? I envisaged something similar: “we got dog-piled by well-funded well-organised far-right bigots so we discounted those replies, they were not valid anyway”.

Nice work!!

AlexandraLeaving · 29/05/2025 14:18

Done, although I have not been as coherent and eloquent as @woollyhatter‘s excellent response.

Hoardasurass · 29/05/2025 14:49

My 5 words to describe them
Committed men's rights organisation

Of course the conspiracy of alt right fascist ideologues whose luxury lifestyle is funded by the US Evangelic movement means my opinion is discounted. Heaven forfend that as a left leaning Scottish woman I can think for myself.

I need to ring JKR on the secret Terven hotline and ask where my monthly supply of tunnocks has gone again.

See you all at the next coven.
