Anyone watching Virgin Island?

I just can’t help watching this sort of trash tv but episode 3…ugh….

Tom is a heterosexual male. They did some “masculine” wood chopping activities to release their inner male or some such guff.
Cue Tom needing a one to one therapy meeting to discuss his lack of masculinity because he didn’t enjoy the wood chopping, so thinks he’s “somewhere between he/him and they/them”.
At no point during the short therapy session did the coach say “that’s fine Tom, you don’t have to like wood chopping to be manly! There are a million ways to be a man and it’s all fine!”

Kathleen Stock wrote a good article about this program

I'd watch it but I think I'll be washing my hair. I hope the participants escape unscathed.

It was clearly some very vulnerable young people being exploited for tv. Very unpleasant and manipulative.

I couldn't even get through the article it sounds horrific!

DS was home from university at the weekend and described watching this at a friend's house last week with horror. He said it made him uncomfortable and he thought the participants seemed quite vulnerable. Both my teens thought the idea was grim.

@BettyFilous they are not wrong , totally grim.
