This was a great argument from Kate to the “what about butch lesbians being challenged in the ladies?”
”You had RMW on last week. He is over 6ft tall, well built with a deep baritone voice…He says he has been using the ladies for years and nobody has ever challenged him. The likelihood of butch lesbians being constantly challenged is remote”

That was my favourite part. She was appropriately dismissive of them trying to have their cake and eat it.

That was great. There's absolutely no doubt whatsoever that people who have listened to each of these episodes, won't be forming the same opinion.

That the women are reasonable, rational, normal, and the men are incoherent, illogical, and well, for want of a better phrase, completely and utterly wrong. 😁

No person accepts that men who say they are lesbians are, or have ever been, anything other than heterosexual chancers.

I don't think I've ever heard that argument before. I completely agree with Madcats that it's very good.

I've actually thought that Woman's Hour has done quite well by having these interviews. How I wish I knew the inside story to their earlier reluctance to even acknowledge that TWAW was not the only viewpoint that existed. It's clear that Jane Garvey was influential but why did Emma Barnett manage to achieve a certain amount of debate when Jeni Murray clearly got nowhere?

Sacha Deshmukh was awful. I actually had more sympathy for Robin Moira White.

Yes that was genius. And absolutely bloody true.
