So the PCS union have tabled motions calling the cass review into question, the sc ruling and subsequent guidance/rules as segregation and biological essentialisum. Oh and the main motion was put forward by the same man we've heard about before (see screenshot and 2nd article)

The PCS are absolute clowns. I cant see civil servants, especially more junior staff, being willing to lose pay to go on strike for this.

Fucking he’ll, it’s always couched in concern for trans and non-binary people isn’t it - but never the women who are probably contributing far more to the unions’ existence.

We really do live in a post-truth age - the state chooses the best qualified & most experienced group (not just Cass) to conduct a study which takes 4 years, but every union secretary feels empowered to say it’s wrong. We have Supreme Court judges, who presumably have some idea of the law, who take months to carefully consider and write up what the law actually is (and it might be 86 pages, but it’s really very clear and IANAL) but again, unions know better.

Just do your own job of protecting ALL your members rather than ignoring that and trying to do work for which you are not qualified. I’m not a union member, but if I was, I’d be reviewing my membership - there are better alternatives!

Arent Civil servants obliged to support the government and not undermine it (you know, by suggesting supreme court judgement are to be ignored, for example)?

I used to be one (aeons ago) and I thought I remembered having to sign up to a load of legal guff to that end. Could be wrong.

Seems a bit.. seditious having them organise holding the government to ransom and undermining the rule of law.
