'Trans girls will still be allowed to play in Glasgow's school female netball league as part of a efforts across the city to keep sport inclusive for LGBTQ + pupils.
Young people can also take part in athletics based on their gender identity and there are gender neutral gymnastic events for pupils in the city.
Glasgow city's education convenor Christina Cannon said the council works with schools to ensure trans and non binary pupils take part in sport "in line with their gender identity."'

I still think a lot of these organisations are buying time, saying that they'll be inclusive now in the immediate aftermath of the SC ruling.

Then when the guidance is published, or they discover they’re not insured, or someone somewhere gets threatened with legal action, they will hold their hands up and say, oh, we're really sorry we can't actually do this, our hands are tied, it’s not our fault it’s those big meanies at the EHRC.

In the meantime, they get to look like they're nice trans allies and avoid the backlash they would undoubtedly be subjected to if they announced that they will comply with the law immediately.

Tbf if it's about girls who think they're trans or nb then, so long as they're not on testosterone, fair play to them. Using their healthy female bodies to play sport or dance, socialising with other girls, can only be good for them. I suspect though it's not just or even at all about girls,

Titania McGrath is a blast from the past, I thought he'd retired!

The councillor has obviously never played netball, if they consider it a non contact sport. I played netball in Glasgow and believe me it could get rough and the idea of receiving a ball in the face from a boy doesn't bear thinking about.

My husband tore his meniscus in a collision playing mixed netball. It's definitely not a non-contact game!

Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!

Even worse for me - I have got curly hair, and my Mum actually made the bread so it was completely deliberate. I could've been a contender!
