Women are scared when alone out doors. Even politicians now that and accept more needs to be done to make the street safe for women.
So in the meantime if women carry a knife to feel safer from men, because the male political system has failed to do this, she is then at fault?
(Not to in anyway agree with the judgement but the law on those carrying knives, means that it is viewed you have intent.)
Its loathsome because the court is saying, no you should have let him rape you.
