Has this been posted yet?

Apologies if it has and I've missed it.

Some interesting results. It's's good that the general public support the ruling, but depressing how few people think lesbians groups shouldn't be able to exclude males (or maybe people just don't care about lesbians 🙁). And no surprises from Green voters.

I get a little tired (jaded?) at seeing these kind of polls when we already know that a lot of the public think transwomen are biological women, ie they are women who transed (into men).

It would help if those doing the questions actually explained the terminology to the voter first.

Edit - sorry for being grumpy

Don't forget that many of those 'lesbians' will be men.

Very interesting, thanks for the link ItsCoolForCats [but zero thanks for putting the earworm of ..Squeeze was it? singing 'It's cool for ca-a-ats' in my head for the rest of the dayWink]

I was pleased to see that
, there is strong support for the Supreme Court ruling with over half of voters (59pc) agreeing with the outcome compared with only 17pc who disagree.
This is consistent across all age groups including the younger generations with 18−24 year olds (41pc) and 25−34 year olds (40pc) supporting the ruling.

so it's not just old dinosaurs who are going to die off soon anyway😏

My reaction to
access to Lesbian social groups ranked significantly lower among the public with only 27pc saying that trans women should be excluded from those groups.
is thanks a bunch guys😠
We knew Stonewall and the TRAs were anti-lesbian, but this is disappointing.

I agree with this. I have had discussions with people who definitely think that ‘transwoman’ describes a biological woman who believes themselves to be trans.

Agree. I wish they’d ask along the lines of “Should men be allowed in women’s sports/prisons/lesbian groups/etc.?” and then “What about men who identify as women?” And then, perhaps, “And if they’ve gone as far as to get a GRC which involves getting a gender dysphoria diagnosis and living as a woman for two years but not necessarily any surgical intervention or hormones?”

I think we’d get a better idea of people’s thinking (and understanding).

Definitely. We've seen from Scotland that a "hey, live and let live" majority melts away pretty quickly when you specify "someone who identifies as a woman but has a penis".
