Sorry if this is already a thread but with the SC judgement I've been looking back at some interviews and clips that peaked me and wondered if we could have a thread sharing our favourites.

My absolute no. 1 is this clip from an interview with Germaine Greer. I remember watching it in my 20s and being amazed by this funny, unapologetic and clever woman.

It’s a recent one and Megyn Kelly is anti-abortion, anti-feminist, yadda yadda lots of things I disagree with, but her take on John Oliver was glorious to behold, especially the righteous anger in this bit about the girls injured in school sport:

I am not sure how to find it but the one with Helen Joyce, Peter Tatchell and flashing Fred Wallace. Peter Tatchell trying to get Fred to put the wine down... It was awful but hilarious too.

It even got it's own name, the Buttergasp:

The photo of Helen Joyce pouring glasses of fizz outside the courtroom last week is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. I'm getting misty eyed just thinking of it. She, and the other women who have fought alongside her, deserve every single drop

Ben Cooper: this is all new information

I was literally howling.

And then there's one of the absolute classics:

I was waiting for this one 👍🏻

Also from Ben Cooper when questioning Maya's manager on how he chose to handle the complaint he said something along the lines of that he knew there were strong feelings and he wanted to keep things as contained as possible.

BC responded "Would it be unkind to ask how that is going?"

Don't have a link but when Ash Sarkar accused Julie Bindel of having no genuine interest in women in prison based on a search she had done of JB's Twitter feed 😄

For me, nothing will ever eclipse the 'Repent, motherfucker!' Netflix staff protest in perfectly summing up transactivism. My favourite bit was when they physically attacked the counter-protester, broke his placard and then backed off, screaming 'He's got a weapon!' when the guy was left holding only a pole.

Dave Chapelle - absolute genius.

It's noteworthy that in the US context, shouting out "he's got a weapon" in a tense situation of public disorder is actually sometimes done in the hope that the Police will overreact and shoot the person who doesn't, in fact, have a weapon.

Just love this thread, OP! 😊

That's shocking and a perspective I hadn't even considered. How awful.

Thanks for sharing everyone!

Spiked Online’s Brendan O’Neill has been so on point in so many articles but this is my all time favourite- where Brendan reviews Grace Lavery’s book.

Behold, ”This dick obsessed with his dick”

https://www.spiked-online.com/2022/04/23/how-the-trans-ideology-dehumanises-women/#google_vignette

It includes this fabulous paragraph-

”Lavery writes about the ‘panic’ over trans women (ie, blokes) using women’s toilets, with gender-critical types pushing the bigoted idea that trans women are ‘erotically fixated on the idea of women urinating’. Then, literally in the next paragraph, he says: ‘[But] going to the bathroom is kind of sexy? At least, I have occasionally found it to be so.’ My man, this is why they don’t want you in their loos.”
