Which he will drone at you as though he is holding his nose while doing an impression of a British Rail guard.

Think that job is about his level TBH. He’d be great at it. Proper jobsworth

He's clearly very unprincipled and lacking in integrity.

It doesn't even sound like he's changed his own belief - which anybody has a right to do - but that he simply sees his stated belief as whatever the law says.

A principled person with integrity would say something like "My own belief is still that TWAW, but I fully accept that the law states the opposite, so the law obviously takes precedence over my personal beliefs".

An unprincipled, swayed-by-the-wind person will say, well, exactly what Starmer has just said.

He reminds me of the chuggers who are so passionate about the charity that they're being paid to collect for today; but tomorrow, they'll have completely forgotten about its very existence and be totally personally devoted to whatever the note tells them now.

(1) Who on earth would have thought a week ago that we’d see that headline at the top of the BBC website?? I know we are not home and dry with it all yet but it really is amazing!
(2) Why does that Matt cartoon have a sensitive content warning? 🫣😆

All my photos with any word such as gender / sex have had a sensitivity warning!

Rosie duffield on newsnight now

SmegmaCausesBV · 23/04/2025 22:38

Wonder which country Cruella will pick?

Hoardasurass · 23/04/2025 22:42

Ooo I bet the TRAs won't like that.
Still no apology for Rosie Duffield though.
I did appreciate the camera man making a rather timely pan over to Rosie Duffield when starmer was non answering Kemi Badenochs question at pms questions today 😅

peanutbuttertoasty · 23/04/2025 22:48

Not sure why she’s saying it was a mistake not to look at amending the equality act though? Surely that’s not in women’s interests? unless she just means clearer language? A bit wooly.

I heard this debate on the radio. Fancy a Tory asking for an apology and standing up for a previous Labour Party MP. Never forget - Starmer on Duffield's comment that only women have a cervix was "something that shouldn't be said" and was "not right" .

I really appreciated the way that Kemi Badenoch brought up the issue of the re-appointment of Baroness Falkner, and that she ( Badenoch) would keep holding Starmer to account when it comes to who Labour appoints as the next head of the EHRC. He's not going to be able to bow to pressure from within his own party to appoint someone like Harriet Harman.

Badenoch is at her best on this issue......and we can take some comfort from the fact she won't let him get away with anything without scrutiny.

Slip of the finger! By the time the picture appeared in my post I couldn't go back and change it 🤷‍♀️

She’s excellent and one of the few who has been consistent.

Unlike Starmer who changes each year, from TWAW to I ‘always thought’. Yeh no why lie.

I've never voted Tory in my life but she is giving me pause for thought. It's not much to ask if the PM knows which sex his wife, son or daughter is, for example.
