Mark Smith of The Herald says sorry to women. To be honest it sounds like his arc from be kind to gender critical is similar to my own (although I didn't pay much attention rather than supporting self id) so I'm not sure he's got a huge amount to be sorry for. It's nice to hear though.

That could well be it. I seem to remember that when he first appeared to see the GC light some women were sceptical and thought he was just playing us, but he's stuck to the GC line.

But that's still not a real apology, is it? Rather shocking that we have just the one real apology. You'd have hoped for better.

That's right I think. I recall him on the Moral Maze complaining that feminism was no longer about defending women but 'policing men'. That was a few years ago mind , before the TRAs were in their pomp. I guess they peaked him?
