Why such differences between sex and ethnicity?

I do not understand why there is a difference in how ethnicity and sex are considered and would welcome any (constructive) responses to shed light on this.

People don't seem to go in for changing their ethnic identity (unless perhaps they learn something about their ancestors that might change this). People who change how they identify in terms ethnicity appear to be met with considerable negativity and this is viewed as unacceptable.

Can you change how you identify in terms of ethnicity and should someone be able to access service for a specific ethnic group if that is how they choose to identify?

How does being a 'race faker' differ from being transgender?

'Race faker' called out by her own mum who says she is ‘as white as snow’

'The shades of bronzer she applies to her face have become darker over time.'

There are millions or even billions of £$ to be made from the transgender movement and its victims by big pharma and certain types of doctors, surgeons and academics. It has also provided a huge new clean slate for all sorts of consumer items including clothes and extending to pretty much anything that can have a colour or carry a slogan.
It also provides new avenues for predators and other bad actors to feed their prey drive or misogyny drive etc. There are a lot of potential winners and many more victims naturally.

There may be big bucks to be made from encouraging people to identify as a different race, however that has not been worked through and developed yet. They will ride this wave till it crashes before hyping the next one, however I do think the fashion for big lips and behinds (only for women ofc) is a toe in the water.

I think the answer is misogyny.

Also money, as @OuchyEars says. But lots of money could also be made from race fakers if it were socially acceptable. And I think the reason one is ok and the other isn’t is mainly down to misogyny.

Why such differences between sex and anorexia. Both stem from dysmorphia, but one is treated as a mental illness and one is pandered to.

Misogyny. Sex is a more fundamental physical attribute than race because it cuts across all people, and the physical effects of childbearing and breastfeeding on women’s bodies are present across all cultures and societies. Men are from all races and they all essentially want the same things from women.

The different ways sex and race are treated are even more stark when you consider that sex is undeniably biological and immutable, but activists want to present it as a spectrum and something cultural that you can intentionally change. Whereas race doesn’t actually exist scientifically as a biological concept, but people want to think of it as an immutable physiological fact rather than being culturally constructed. But the real question is whose interests are being served by race and sex being thought of in these ways…?
