Go on the condoms

Why are boys not taught to use condoms in the same way girls are taught to "go on the pill".

OP posts:

Well how would that work when women are desperate to ttc?

What?

OP, I think they are taught. At school, they are shown how to put a condom on a banana.

condoms are pushed pretty heavily, to boys and girls, as they are the only form of contraception to prevent STIs.

What does boys learning to use condoms have to do with the fact that some women are desperately trying to conceive??
And I assume you meant some women and not women in general.

I don't know about today but when I was at school in the 80's / 90's condoms were pushed a lot because of the aids epidemic, then later just general STDs.

Sadly, this might be being phased out. I don't work in a school, so have no idea about the curriculum though, so maybe someone can verify.

Many people i know who are on the market don't appear to be as concerned about STDs as my generation (80s/90s). It's the attitude that most things can be cured, and even with HIV you have PrEP. One of my gay friends even told me he doesn't bother with condoms anymore, and I'd imagine (from an STD point of view) many straight men probably feel the same.

I think the attitude is that 'well, she knows this is a ONS, so it's her problem. If she doesn't want to get pregnant by some rando, she'll sort it...'
