JOB is such a pompous plum. I knew he'd be hand wringing and playing dumb after the news about the ruling today.

I found his discussion/coverage of this today absolutely insufferable. He's a misogynistic public school twerp. He's never going to get the issue. He's the reason I stopped listening to LBC.

He was awful - indulging the caller who implied that protecting women’s spaces would lead to trans people being persecuted.

I agree - he wilfully misses the point every time this issue arises.

Apparently FWS is 'funded by American right-wing groups' 🤣. I donated to the crowd funder and I'm a UK based leftie. I used to like James in the days of Brexit but some topics are clearly beyond his 'expertise'.

He occasionally gives women a pat on the head with discussions about VAWG (it should be called Men's VAWG James - we're not usually doing it to ourselves), how women have to modify their behaviour because of men, how men dominate conversations (blah, blah, blah) but as soon as a dude dons a dress James refuses to get the point.

He curates calls to platform the message he wants broadcast, whilst pretending that he is a passive observer of what is being said. He tends to only air GC callers who he can run rings around and thinks will showcase bigotry. He wouldn’t entertain having someone from FWS or Sex Matters on.

Today is the first day I have really not given any fucks about the narratives that are being peddled. The JoBs, the Fox Botherers and the Fae’s of this world can continue to act confused, wronged, outraged all they like. The law has been clarified and all the wilful /ignorant proclamations and obfuscations can be dismissed. It was never the case that males with trans identities were entitled to inclusion in female only services/provision - simple as that!

Completely agree. I wonder whether he'll change now that the tide is definitely turning (surely with leftie women turning off LBC because of him someone might have a word (or explainer with simplified pictures for him).

Yes. I used to really like JOB but have been really put off by his approach here. I first went off him when I heard him bullying a truck driver who mentioned that unfettered immigration from the EU was driving down wages.
I’m no Brexiter but for working people in manual jobs this was a huge issue and overprivileged oafs, who have wanted for nothing ,bullying them and calling them stupid, contributed to the vote.

It sickens me to think JOB has two daughters. He even admitted one of them had asked him how men could ever experience the things women live with, like menstruation. He went on to compare post menopausal women to men.

He even wrote a whole book on how to admit you’re wrong rather than doubling down. Breathtaking irony

Oh FFS - not remotely surprised at Tatchell but I thought that Nick Abbott was secretly GC. He has made jokey comments about pronouns on his podcast with Carol McGiffin
