'A PRE-OP transsexual killer has been moved out of Scotland’s women-only jail after claims he had sex with other prisoners.
Paris Green was transferred out of Cornton Vale prison after inmates claimed he had fling with other cons.
Green – who used to be known as Peter Laing – was only sent to the prison five weeks ago after being convicted of murder.
But he has now been moved to a special section of Saughton prison in Edinburgh after being confronted with the allegations.
Green was originally told he could spend his minimum 18-year sentence in the women’s prison because he is about to undergo gender realignment surgery on the National Health Service.

But now he will be carefully monitored in Saughton’s special women’s section which has around 100 female inmates.
Prison insiders say Green, 22, had been involved in casual sexual relationships with other convicts at Cornton Vale, near Stirling.
It is understood that prison wardens had to have several talks with Green and his partners to warn them that their behaviour was unacceptable.'

I wouldn’t assume that the sex was consensual. To be fair, he’s not accused of rape, but if I was in a jail with a man as dangerous as that one I don’t suppose I’d be reporting a sexual assault.

It's a shame that those who forced women to share a prison environment with this male killer are not also in court for "culpable and reckless conduct".

It says here that Saughton prison is a male prison. Yet the article says it has a women's section.

Saughton has around 900 (male) inmates.

'The current design capacity is 870 and we hold on average 900 prisoners per day.

The prison manages adult male individuals including those on remand, short term sentences (serving less than 4 years), long term sentences (serving 4 years or more), life sentence prisoners and extended sentence prisoners (Order of Life Long Restrictions). '

There are generally under 200 women in prison in Scotland at any one time.

I think it has the “special” woman’s section

ie the bit for men who identify as women.

i actually thought all men were out of the female prison estate is Scotland and am horrified this is not the case.

So am I right in thinking that the 'special women's section' in Edinburgh is actually for sex offenders and only contains males?

When you think it can't get worse. The prison service really needs to look at the kind of people they employ and their behaviour.

Many years ago, before I was educated into the ways of the Terven (so pre 2018 at least) there was a petition that did the rounds about a poor, sweet transwoman, who was being tortured in a men’s prison. The petition was to get him moved to a women’s prison and I fear I may have been naive and ignorant enough to sign it.

I do recall a later revelation about an unexpected “seven inch surprise,” which for some strange reason was omitted from the original description of the poor, defenseless transwoman.

Was the prisoner used in that campaign Paris Green, or did I imagine it?

I have found this from 2017, that mentions an outcry when Paris Green had been moved from a women’s prison to a men’s prison after having sexual inter course with female prisoners.

Thoughts include: 1) hasn’t he been in prison a long time and 2) are no lessons ever learned?

Also 3) there is a stark reminder from that article that nobody, but nobody, ever gave the women imprisoned with those men a moment’s consideration when all this was being discussed. They are entirely missing from this “IWD” article.
