Really it’s a man who committed the crime?

I find this headline misleading.

The crime and sentencing were both while the individual still identified as a man. This is referenced but I feel it wouldn’t be published the same way in reverse?

Doesn’t matter if they identified as a woman before frankly. He is male, with male patterns of criminality #not our crimes

Change of name to Chleo doesn't make him a woman.
Still an out and out pervert of a man.

Not only not a woman but can't spell either. There's a whole thread on MN about people vary the spelling of common names so they are 'unique' - but this person with a penis is uniquely unique. Yuck.

I'm guessing it's meant to be cleo like that little girl in Australia. Wonder if he picked the name before or after her abduction..

Thankful for the Observer. Puts the Guardian to shame.

Interesting. That's nasty.

The sort of headline you read and go, 'Huh, woman, sure thing...'
It should absolutely be reported as a male crime.

As I say every time on threads like this, I'm so sick of this shit.

TheCatsTongue · 25/03/2025 14:19

Notice how it's both first name and surname that change.

They only do it so that all reports (and possibly prosecution) are under the female alias that will be ditched as soon as they are out of court/prison.

Yes, the headline is misleading, which contravenes the very first clause of the IPSO editors’ guidelines.
