I find this headline misleading.

The crime and sentencing were both while the individual still identified as a man. This is referenced but I feel it wouldn’t be published the same way in reverse?

Doesn’t matter if they identified as a woman before frankly. He is male, with male patterns of criminality #not our crimes

Notice how it's both first name and surname that change.

They only do it so that all reports (and possibly prosecution) are under the female alias that will be ditched as soon as they are out of court/prison.
