A transgender woman who committed sex offences in male public lavatories was called “she” in court.
In that sentence, the word "woman" strikes me as completely bizarre. We've seen the photo at the top. We know before we start reading the article that women don't commit sex offences in toilets, whether female toilets or male ones.
The Telegraph revealed that police forces and courts were routinely <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/zlOfE/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/03/19/criminals-allowed-to-self-identify-gender/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">allowing criminals to self-identify their gender, with transgender rapists among those recorded as female.
And yet we don't have self-id. Police and courts are supposed to be dealing in facts.
