It's a bizarre article to promote their new book.
Comments are allegedly being moderated via the USA but some terms have broken through...

I saw this this morning - I don’t know if the comments are different on the UK version, but every single one said “Why are you calling him “she”? He’s a man!” Which he is.

It was a bizarre article though. And lots of VERY carefully lit/filtered/edited pictures - he looked significantly more manly in the less official pictures…

The article is a fawning load of drivel. Very different from the usual tone of Times articles about transpeople or gender issues.

The filters and photoshop are doing some very heavy lifting

It’s a massive shame that his parents and community couldn’t just have let him be a gay guy when he was a lad. He’s an absolute mess and they must take some of the blame.

Agreed. Found it quite odd, though telling, that the article described criticism of the Bud Light ads only in terms of "right wing people against woke" but no mention of controversy around her Nike contract and the hypocrisy /problem of transwomen getting these kind of contracts and exposure instead of actual women.

Mulvaney had a very good career as a very effeminate gay man - he know exactly what he's doing, please dont feel sorry for him!

Nike sponsored her to model a sports bra for women and she has posted about carrying tampons in her handbag in case a woman needed one. “I thought the letters stood for small, medium and large based on the size of your Barbie pouch,” she said in a social media video, holding up the tampon, “but after googling I found out it’s actually the level of your flow.”

Ahh yes, I couldn't see it. I think Dylan threads have been zapped in the past.

@Greyskybluesky a slip from reading the article referring to Dylan as her all the way through. I won't edit as would make your comment look odd but for clarity I don't believe Dylan is a woman or should have the pronoun 'her'
