Women's Voice Hastings ban Women's Rights Network from having a stall at local IWD event

I am sure this has been going on up and down the country, but would have thought that after last year when quite a few TWAW organisers had to reverse their anti GC stance, this wouldn't (or might not) happen this year.

Quote is from a facebook post:

Celebration of #IWD2025 with a street stall in Hastings.

East Sussex Womens Rights Network had been banned from the official event organised by Women's Voice Hastings because we won't pretend that men can become women.

So instead of being inside, in a bubble of "inclusive feminists" who like to centre men in their feminism, we got out into the sunshine and chatted to members of the public instead.

We had lots of support, some great conversations and people who thanked us for what we were doing.

And there is a similar post on twiX for those who have access.

They could sue, of course, that action's illegal discrimination.

I wonder if the IWD event was funded and whether they could complain to them.

But in a way, which is partly why I started a thread as search engines love FWR thread titles, I was thinking as much publicity as possible.

It makes the organising group look ridiculous.

The women from the Hastings group are great, they really don’t give up! It doesn’t surprise me that they have been excluded though. It is unfair and uncalled for and doesn’t move the conversation forward if they won’t let women have a voice. I bloody love the Scottish Women! Awesome ladies.

TBH looking at the programme for the IWD event, I'd rather stay at home counting my eyelashes.

Who even goes to these tedious events?
