The vile scumbag has been convicted of rape as well as three murders and the police spokesman being interviewed said that this level of violence against women is 'unprecedented'!!!!
How is it unprecedented. It's practically endemic.

He's a sick, sick bastard. I hope he rots. It terrifies me that they walk amongst us.

He'll never be walking amongst anybody, ever again.

I assumed the ‘unprecedented’ referred to the shocking brutality of the murders. One stabbed with a butcher’s knife, the others shot with a crossbow.

Sadly, violence against women is not unprecedented, but this case was exceptionally shocking. I know someone involved in it and he has said it has had a lasting effect on the team.

Men in large are a problem for all women to some degree but people don't want to talk honestly about how we women are walking around and expected to live alongside the group of people that put our lives in danger the most, abuse and sexually assault us and also support patriarchal systems that make it harder for women to live equally and fairly.

Men do not like women, they will not have this conversation and look for ways of change because they do not want to be fair or equal to us because inherently they don't believe we are.

Christ...even on this thread there's a level of NAMLT that's quite depressing.

Well, that’s because they aren’t!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/03/2025 19:45

That's not the point though.

JazzyBBBG · 07/03/2025 19:53

Can we just accept that this should never have happened and there's a massive issue with men we need to solve? The fact he was watching Andrew Tate speaks volumes as well.

Yes, preferably without feeling the need to mention that women commit crime too, or that your Nigel is a decent chap (as seen here, and the other thread about this cretinous male, and pretty much every thread where male violence against women and girls is discussed).

The case raises a lot of different issues.

For the people who question what she was doing with a man like this. Well she tried to get away from him, so it was clear that she didn't want to be in a relationship with him.

They met via online dating, so there wouldn't have been a "vetting" process before meeting him, and in a lot of cases someone can just gain a fixation with someone after one meeting. This is a danger of dating men, 9 out of 10 may be good, but how do you avoid the 10%?

Which leads onto the issue of men themselves. We talk about "well they just need to be told not to be like that". We make it seem like these men don't know what they're doing is wrong, and if they understood that it would all change. This is naive. You had a police officer (who by his profession knows the difference between right and wrong) and still raped and murdered someone. In this case his brother is a convicted murderer. These men know what they're doing is wrong, but choose to do it anyway.

For the majority of cases there are early warning signs, and particularly with cases of sexual violence, it escalates from low level crimes (flashing etc) to severe (rape and murder). The low level crimes need to be dealt with better.

Absolutely.

I'd be interested to see his assesment for psychopathy too. I bet he scores high - which means he's, in all likelihood, charismatic, superficially charming, able to mimic sociable traits, possibly higher than average intelligence or at least quite verbally skilled. All traits which would work quite well on an initial date or two. Not surprised at all that he managed to meet and initially charm a young woman - takes a while for the real person to emerge, at which point, she and her family realised what type of guy he really is and extricated her.
