The vile scumbag has been convicted of rape as well as three murders and the police spokesman being interviewed said that this level of violence against women is 'unprecedented'!!!!
How is it unprecedented. It's practically endemic.

So you think the average man needs to be told not to abduct women and murder them?

No but there's always lots of advice for women to avoid potentially dangerous situations, obviously NAMALT but why is there no emphasis that the problem is the men that pose those dangers? (And the men that look the other way or dont call out deviant behaviour eg the police officer that was known as the rapist....as genuine nickname??)

And just about all women have behaviours that they engage to avoid a situation because it's not a small number of men that might behave like that - The Giselle pelicot case proves that

I mean, clearly yes? Among other obvious lessons.

Have you not noticed the amount of young men who have joined an incel culture influenced by men like Andrew Tate?

So the lessons do need to be for every and all men, because if MEN don't start calling eachother out on their abhorrent behaviour they won't change. Call out their mates when they repeat misogynistic tropes, denounce the likes of Tate and co. Do you remember the group chat of police officers speaking about rape victims "asking for it" and claiming "it's not harassment if they say yes, 50 nos and 1 yes is a yes".

I was assuming based on you being on a board about women's rights that you weren't victim blaming.

I don't know what genitalia you have so it wasn't because of that.

But you dont know anything about the man who made the comments either. Anyway I just didnt like the negativity being aimed at supposed perfectly innocent men. Just seems to fuel the divide between women and men and hated towards each sex.

...wow. Maybe if less men routinely victim blamed, people wouldn't think they are when they use language that is eerily close to victim blaming.

That's the negativity that 'perfectly innocent men' receive yet the negativity women receive is rape, assault and death.

The only 'hatred' between the sexes, is the one driving one to disproportionately assault the other.

Agree with you. But you can't expect the police to tell it like it is - they're supposed to be STOPPING things like this happening.
I now see anyone with a willie to be considered a threat.
Hope that doesn't sound either comic or too strong. It's our necessary truth today.

i think it’s its on all of us to stop it happening. It’s a society and cultural problem, not just a policing one.

What do you mean by average man?

There are literally so many sources to show that men from all backgrounds, race , ages etc commit these crimes. So yes, i think the AVERAGE man does clearly need to be de-programmed from misogynist cult views. How else can we target the 'right' men if that's not the case?

It seems there are a lot of women who hate men simply for being men. Can you imagine if women were physically stronger than men, what might happen?

I meant average man as in the very very large percentage of men who don't go around murdering women. It's very easy to get caught up in what's in the news etc but you've got to remember the vast majority dont behave like that. If they did then how on earth could women leave their homes without being deceased within a few years.

this is some really boring trolling.

I don't hate men for simply being men. But I, like many other women, do not trust MEN as a whole due to our lives experiences, their behaviours and so on.

The only men i hate are predators. So boohoo, they can cry over my hatred as much as they like.

Oh, so they're only an issue if they actually kill us? What about the sea of sexual assaults and rapes? The ones committing DV? The ones using financial and verbal abuse? The one's who are stalking women? The ones who send us unsolicited explicit photos? The one's who shout obscene remarks at us in the street?

And then, the men who may not COMMIT those crimes listed above but associate with men who do. Who don't call them out on their behaviour. Who witness their friends going deeper and deeper into a women hating mindset and don't step in?

That's the very very large percentage of men.

I just think that it adds a bit more fuel to the fire all this hated based on sex. I'm all for feminism but not extreme feminism that I dont think benefits women. Like climate protestors. These crazy people that take it to the extremes like throwing paint over priceless paintings, it doesnt benefit the overall cause as it actually turns people away from the cause.

I dont want to keep on posting and be a troll, but just when you read the views on threads like this. How would you feel if it was men talking about women like that. Grouping all women together. Or should I say how do you feel about that. Anyway signing off now.

Not one view expressed on this thread has been a hatred of men.

FYI, a lot of them do group us together. They think of us as prey, HTH.

A lot of what you talk about minus rape get carried out by women against men you know. But because it's by a woman against a man it's not taken seriously. Anyway I'm going to unfollow this thread now as I'll just end up posting too much. Sorry!

There’s a really good book called “See What You Made Me Do” by Jess Hill. There’s a chapter titled “When Women Use Violence” which drills down into the stats around the “women are just as bad as men” narrative.

Of course some women are violet towards their partners, and that’s just as abhorrent as the opposite scenario. However when you take the crime of murder (which is what this thread is about), in the overwhelming majority of cases where a woman has killed her current/former partner there is pre-existing domestic violence perpetrated by the man. The aforementioned book states that in 28 out of the 29 cases of women killing men in Australia between 2000-2010, the men themselves were known visto sto be violent. In Russia 4 out of 5 women convicted of murder were defending themselves from domestic abuse.

To quote the founder of a VAWG charity in the USA: “When women kill their partners, it’s almost always in self defence. When men kill their partners it’s because they think they’re going to leave.”

A final stat from the book, in the US in the 1970s the domestic homicide rate for men and women was roughly the same at 1,000 cases per year. From the mid-70s onwards (with the introduction of women’s refuges) the number of MEN being murdered by women fell by 69%. Why? Because the women being terrorised by their partners had somewhere safe to flee to and weren’t in the position of killing in self defence.

ARichtGoodDram · 07/03/2025 18:22

I think the tone of reporting has changed because this week's case laid out just how barbaric he was and for how long he held Louise captive.

This wasn't "just" an angry murder (because to be blunt - that happens so often the media don't appear to see it as a big deal anymore). It was a well planned execution of two people and the three hour torture and execution of one.

He’s a pathetic coward. Did you see the clip of him snivelling when he was being interviewed? Self-pity. Then his equally pathetic suicide note where he made himself out to be some kind of victim.

He was also too much of a coward to go into court to hear the verdict. I hope he’s miserable and in pain for the rest of his life.

I don't think it's cowardice. He's exercising the last dregs of control that he has and will probably not apear for sentancing or to hear a victim impact statement if the family are planning to deliver one. I would never make a victim impact statement because I wouldn't give the offender the satisfaction of being able to choose not to listen to it.
