The vile scumbag has been convicted of rape as well as three murders and the police spokesman being interviewed said that this level of violence against women is 'unprecedented'!!!!
How is it unprecedented. It's practically endemic.

The fact the news are all referring to him as "jilted ex" making out it's HER fault for not wanting to be with him.

call him what he is. RAPIST. MURDERER. MISOGYNIST. SCUM.

That's not making it out like it's her fault more highlighting how pathetic he was

ZeldaFighter · 07/03/2025 13:28

To offer another perspective, I was quite shocked at the report on the BBC 10 o clock news. The reporter concluded with remarks on "misogynistic violence " and sited the crime as evidence of epidemic level violence against women and girls.

I was so surprised to hear it as previously the report had featured the end of the relationship so it had seemed the traditional "oh dear just one of those relationship things" then boom - evidence of misogynistic violence!

Hopefully this cuts through!

wording is important.

Jilt: (Verb) suddenly reject or abandon (a lover).

His actions were his actions - and using terms such as Jilted Ex err dangerously close to 'excusing' the actions. "Well, he wouldn't have done it if she hadn't broken up with him" etc.

Yes it does highlight he is pathetic, but why use JILTED EX when RAPIST MURDERER was a far better way to describe him.

i feel the only reason it's being looked at in that way rather than the traditional line of thinking you mentioned, is that he targeted her mum and sister also. Otherwise it would be dismissed more.

To highlight how deranged he was to murder simply because he was jilted.

Sadly you're probably right 😞 I've read a report somewhere that he "correctly assumed" they advised Louise to dump him - which is getting into excuses again 😞

Talking about it with male colleagues
Colleague : she was very attractive and intelligent what was she doing with someone like him, why did she stay....?
Me: She didn't!!! And this is what happened! 🤬

FFS why the victim blaming

sandgreen · 07/03/2025 13:38

The lengths he went to to make sure there was no man in the house when he did it. I don't know why those details leap out to me. He was so heavily armed I can't imagine he could have been stopped.

A sick coward who only wanted to terrify, torture and murder women. May he rot in hell.

What did they say that made you think they were blaming her for her own murder?

KrankyKumquat · 07/03/2025 13:46

@sandgreen
Yes and I know what people mean about this not being a unique crime but some aspects of it really stick with me - the hanging about lying-in-wait in the house for the next victim to arrive particularly and the thought of what each went through in the moments of realisation before he killed them. Bloody horrifying.

I thought that - either he was scared of a man coming home (cowardly scum) or he just wanted to hurt women (evil scum) or both 😡

Szygy · 07/03/2025 13:57

Did anyone else hear in the unbelievably distressing radio report yesterday afternoon that in addition to being controlling and of great concern to Louise's family and friends right from the outset, and then carrying out these unspeakable outrages because he decided he’d been 'jilted', the montrous perpetrator - who I don’t even want to name, I feel such visceral disgust for him - had himself been cheating during the relationship?

I don’t even know where to start with the level of horror that this case inspires. I honestly don’t.

Sounds like they asked “why did she stay with him?” In that way that people do sometimes about women hurt or killed by their partners. When the obvious answer is that she didn’t, she politely and calmly broke up with him. Then he murdered her and her family.

And that means they think she is to blame for being murdered? I dont think so. They are just amazed that a wonderful woman would be with a guy like that.

but then it's well documented that these men are usually very good at hiding their true selves to con women into being with them. So it does read very "well she knew what he was like, why was she with him"

If I see a lovely woman with a horrendous man I would question why she was with him, but wouldn't then mean that if she was murdered by said man that I blamed her for it.

it doesn't mean everyone is saying that, it's what it can imply. Many don't know the man is horrendous until too late. That's the point.

I still dont think someone saying why was she with him is the same as saying I think it was her fault she was murdered.

I see you added the bit on about "she knew what he was like" when the original poster had simply said the men asked why she was with him, you added that extra part on which does put a slightly different angle on it.

but that's what i mean, asking why she was with a horrendous man can IMPLY that person believes they were aware of them being horrendous. Obviously, the PP may not have meant it that way but that's how i personally took it.

It's sad we even have to have this conversation.

Fizbosshoes · 07/03/2025 16:00

Saying why did she stay with him (which she didnt) as if it's something she has done wrong, or that she should have done something different

In the aftermath of Sarah Everards murder, there was a plethora of tips for women to change their behaviour.... when the onus should be on men - how about stop being violent misogynistic and murdering cunts

Well I've just said that I would use those words and you didnt jump down my throat and accuse me of victim blaming. So why not? Is it because I have a vagina and not a penis?

I was assuming based on you being on a board about women's rights that you weren't victim blaming.

I don't know what genitalia you have so it wasn't because of that.

So you think the average man needs to be told not to abduct women and murder them?
