This is just one item on a list of shit things this Dr did to women (taken from the published warning via AnSolas' link above).

And yet he's deemed fit to practice... So it's a bit dodgy, but not wholely unacceptable to do that to a woman in your care apparently.

I read about this person last week and cannot get my brain around the fact he is not in prison. Instead he’s allowed to carry on with his job.

He's at Southend Hospital now. The local MP (David Burton-Sampson) has posted this last week about the situation so local people are very aware of it. No update yet on the enquiries.

Both my colleague Bayo Alaba MP and I are aware of the situation relating to a gynaecology consultant at Southend Hospital and we share some concerns. We’re awaiting some further responses from the hospital in relation to our ongoing enquiries.

In the meantime a phone enquiry line has been set up for patients to call if they have concerns or questions about their gynaecological and obstetrics appointments at Southend Hospital.

Could the women go to the police? They may have consented to unspecified procedures if found to be medically necessary, but this has been shown was not necessary- has he therefore committed ABH or GBH on them?

Very good question. I'd have said GBH myself. If a female doctor removed a few testicles from unknowing men you can guarantee she'd never practice medicine again. How the hell he is allowed to continue is 🤯

Remove him and the Southend clinical bosses that brought him in and GMC who authorised this. And give all involved lengthy sentences. So many creeps like this in the NHS.
