I was listening to 6 Music and it came on. Amongst Capitalism, Communism and Colonialsm, I was surprised to hear it in the isms, and I thought it might amuse anyone who hadn't come accross it yet. (Which is probably no one, as I am always late to the party)

@TitusMoan and @PencilsInSpace , I think it probably is a dig, but it made me laugh anyway.

It's a very mild dig by someone who doesn't understand the issues. They're not the words of a devout genderist. Lots of people are starting to laugh at gender identity stuff now and this will include laughing at terfs. I can live with that.

He's a terf at heart because he's clocked who it is that always does the washing, but he's failed to actually imagine himself into the position of women having their rights taken away by misogynist men. Contrast with the gut wrenching metaphor for life in Gaza.

Genderism - Your trans mum buys feather trimmed marigolds and poses with a pinny. Your cis mum still does the washing.

TERFism - Your mum points out it never occurs to your other mum to do the washing.

I got some of it but because I have hearing loss, some of it was a blur... is there a version with subtitles?

Watched the video three times in a row and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent lyrics and interesting points made about some of the ideologies he discusses.

Pity he doesn't understand gender critical beliefs but so many people haven't really tried to understand or properly engage with gender criticism and they often get the wrong idea about it from people in their social circle, who also have no real idea what TERFs are about 🤷‍♀️

Yes, that's very enjoyable. Disagreed with parts. Funny, though. And catching.

Well, the music's lovely and his voice is great. Parts are compelling. But he seems to fall for trite, superficial, easy-to-swallow truisms.
