Someone (apparently a psychiatrist!) has started a crowd funder to treat 'her' when this is all over, the poor lamb 🙄

I wouldn't even dignify that ghoulish behaviour by sharing the link any more widely than it already has been shared.

WombAndGloom · 11/02/2025 22:46

If people who support him want to fundraise to give a gift at the end of the tribunal, what's wrong with that? Come on.

WombAndGloom · 11/02/2025 22:49

As much as I find his behaviour in the hospital and his demeanour in the trial objectionable, to be honest I feel a quite sorry for him for the intense negative scrutiny he's getting outside the tribunal.

This would be hard on anyone and I'm glad he's getting support.

He is facing the consequences of his actions. That's always hard to witness, anyone who is human hates watching someone be humiliated. The problem is that he wanted to humiliate her which is why they are in this mess right now.

ThePolarBearWhoLostHisCrown · 12/02/2025 00:38

The comments are quite something. Let's think back just a few years and see how much the tide has turned.

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 12/02/2025 00:45

womfer how many of the donations will be from ‘annonymous’!??

HoldTheLine · 12/02/2025 01:10

Having watched some of his behaviour in the tribunal I’m all out of sympathy for him.

nocoolnamesleft · 12/02/2025 01:12

It does seem that some contributors have donated £1 in order to leave a scathing comment. I'm not entirely convinced that such behaviour helps our cause.

The trans cultists funding his treats don't see it that way. They believe he's the victim.

I think Upton's a creep and anyone who gives him money is a numpty, but I can't really object to this. People are allowed to waste their money if they want to.

To be honest I find it difficult to feel sorry for him. It is one thing to have a sense of human empathy for the sufferings of others - but he really has brought all of this upon himself, and with really harmful consequences for other people.

What he is now experiencing goes with the territory he has chosen to inhabit, and ultimately if he can learn the lessons around consent/integrity/truth and reality then it will do him good and make him a far more compassionate person. He is not omnipotent.

RoyalCorgi · 12/02/2025 08:21

So far, the fundraiser has raised £1,289.

Compare this to how donations to Sandie's father's in memoriam charity went from £1k to £10k in the space of a few days. This wasn't even intended as a fundraiser for Sandie, and no one even asked for donations, but women all over the country quietly left their donations and messages of support and solidarity for Sandie.

Barely anyone supports this ideology any more. The only people donating to the Dr Upton fundraiser (apart from the handful giving £1 so they can leave a sarcastic comment) are the deranged fanatics who are still pretending that men can be women.

He would conceal his sex and treat a female without her informed consent: scrutiny is only the start of what he needs

He's said in court that he's female. That's an outrageous lie. He's playing word games like the best con men.

I also am pleased he has people supporting him because no-one should be completely ostracised.

I don't feel bad about the attention he's getting though, he could choose to comply honestly with court orders and answer questions plainly, instead he's being as awkward as possible.

AlbertCamusflage · 12/02/2025 08:51

Why shouldn't they start a fundraiser for him? The fact that some people take different view from other people is hardly shocking.
There are enough reasons to feel furious and astonished in relation to Upton and this case without needing to cite the fact that some people in the world support him.

He’s a disgrace and should not be allowed around female patients unsupervised. I hope (but don’t expect) he will give any money he receives to a charity supporting survivors of sexual abuse.

pikantna · 12/02/2025 10:58

I don't think the treatment Dr Upton needs is the treatment Dr Upton wants.

BackToLurk · 12/02/2025 11:07

People can waste their money how they like. More widely, I’m glad Dr Upton is like he his. There’s a world where the good dr could have been more sympathetic, for example self excluding from examining patients who had requested a woman. He’s utterly awful, and a great addition to Operation Let Them Speak.

I have absolutely no sympathy for him.

Not one iota.

DialSquare · 12/02/2025 13:07

I've got no sympathy for him whatsoever but I am of the opinion that people can spend their money however they want so not bothered by the crowdfunder in itself.

But she may as well have mug tattooed on her forehead as she's been completely mugged off by trans ideology if she genuinely thinks he is the victim.
