Sex Matters Donation

I have sent an email to Sex Matters asking for confirmation that they have received my donation for the British Transport Police case. They haven’t replied yet and it’s been days now.

Can anyone confirm that this was a legitimate request? I did see an article in one of their newsletters but the transaction on my bank statement is different than on the monthly donations. It doesn’t show on the portal either as having been paid.

I’m sure I’m worrying unnecessarily, but would be good to know. Thank you

They do have a legitimate campaign fundraising for a JR of British Transport Police search policy which currently allows men to search women, provided the man believes he has a female gender identity.

Did you donate directly via their website?

Probably best to chase them up; no one here can tell you if there's been a problem with the donation. I've previously found them to be very responsive but perhaps they're busy - they are a small team.

I just thought I would update. Sex Matters replied to say that yes they had sent an email but confirmed that they haven’t received the money.

A bit worrying as it has left my bank account under S Matters and not Sex Matters as usual. Maybe other people’s donations have gone missing too. It’s making me wary of donating again which is a shame. Nobody would know really would they?

Probably safest to donate directly on their website. Must make a note to do some gardening on payday

The money’s gone now. I’ll contact my bank to see if they can do anything. If it’s happened to other people’s donations, it’s not surprising that the target hasn’t been reached.

Good news! They have the money now. Not sure why it took so long but am relieved.
