https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14358995/Cynthia-Nixon-reveals-son-sisters-kids-friends-kids-trans-protest-NYU-trump.html

she stated that her kid was trans, her sisters kids are trans, her best friends kid is trans and her kids best friend is trans.

The kids best friend thing fair enough as they probably hang out with like minded people.

But people still like to claim it’s not a social contagion when whole families are caught up in this bollocks.

How can people like her be so bloody minded and dumb?

Cynthia Nixon reveals who in her family is trans

Actress Cynthia Nixon has revealed that her son, her sister's kids and her best friend's kid are all proudly trans during a Pro-Trans Children protest in the streets of New York City.

I've looked at pictures of Nixon's daughter and, bless her, she's a fairly plain and geeky looking character. Not a problem at all in normal life but I can imagine how, in the looks-obsessed world of celebrity, it might seem like an escape to say you're a boy and identify out of all that.

This 100% if you are JLos daughter and you are ordinary looking and all you see is how your Mother is valued for her beauty then if you are never going to be considered on her level then opting out probably seems like the best option. Any one who compares you to your Mother after you've transitioned is bigoted.

I've also noticed that it seems to be incredibly common that adopted children of celebrities have a trans identity, Jamie Lee Curtis, Charlize Theron, Jean Smart.

If we are supposed to believe that trans is the one complete outlier condition like this that doesn't spread through social contagion then surely it should be studied in massive detail so that people can learn why this condition doesn't spread through groups. It would be massively helpful to stop suicide clusters etc if we understood how this is the one thing that doesn't spread through social contagion. I have a feeling though if it was studied with any kind of rigour they would find that its just the same as everything else.

this is sickening. Hundreds of years from now, there will be writings of 'a religious cult of high priests who sacrificed their own children to the god of gender as it was a status symbol of the elite'

For some reason I'm reminded of the QAnon adrenochrome conspiracy theory. Hollywood elites running a massive child trafficking ring to drain their blood and harvest the chemical adrenochrome to stay young.
Sounds beyond ludicrous-but then again, not too far off transing children and mutilating them under some bizarre gender belief system .
I wonder what all this will look like in 30-50 years time (and how the trans people will be doing) not that I'll be around to see it

I don't know how it is that between us (friends) we have 13 kids (all young adult) and not one of them is trans. Yet you have people like Cynthia, or Megan Fox whose three children are all trans! Obviously not all trans kids are neglected but I really do wonder about the showbiz types, there’s too many in Hollywood to be a coincidence.

When you have celebrity parents, the burden of being as attractive or talented as the parents can be daunting and escaping into an alternate identity/sexuality or drug addictions is way out of dropping out of the competition. Of course the kids can be bog standard normies - accountants or kindergarten teachers-but like their parents, they crave more attention.

I've just looked up the potential side effects of Suppralin LA. Crikey.

  • Some people taking GnRH agonists like SUPPRELIN® LA have had new or worsening mental (psychiatric) problems including depression. Mental (psychiatric) problems may include emotional symptoms such as crying, irritability, restlessness (impatience), anger, and acting aggressive. Before your child receives SUPPRELIN® LA, tell the doctor if they have a history of mental problems. Call your child's doctor right away if your child has any new or worsening mental symptoms or problems while taking SUPPRELIN® LA.
  • Some people taking GnRH agonists like SUPPRELIN® LA have had seizures. The risk of seizures may be higher in people who have a history of seizures, epilepsy, brain or brain vessel (cerebrovascular) problems or tumors, or who are taking a medicine that has been connected to seizures such as bupropion or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Seizures have also happened in people who have not had any of these problems. Before your child receives SUPPRELIN® LA, tell the doctor if they have a history of these problems, as well as all the medicines they take. Call your child's doctor right away if your child has a seizure while taking SUPPRELIN® LA.
  • Increased pressure in the fluid around the brain can happen in children taking GnRH agonist medicines, including SUPPRELIN® LA. Call your child's doctor right away if your child has any of the following symptoms during treatment with SUPPRELIN® LA: headache, eye problems, including blurred vision, double vision, and decreased eyesight, eye pain, ringing in the ears, dizziness, nausea.

The warning about "mental problems" is particularly disturbing, as "trans kids" almost by definition, have "mental problems".

@Gymrabbit I really don't care what kind of personality or sexuality my child will end up with. I just wont put him in a box or enforce a view. He can figure it out. He's in primary school now so who knows what he'll be like as a teen 😄 But it doesn't look like he wants to be a girl. At all.

May I ask how to quote only part of someone's post? When I hit the quote button it quotes the entire post (as above) and I can't figure out how to only select part of it, as there doesn't seem to be a way of deleting parts

I haven't found a way there may be one, but I just highlight, copy and italicise the bit I want to quote, and @ in the author name if things have moved on. But would be interested if there's something better.

Cynthia has no excuse. She is a few years older than me and would have grown up in a time where there were no 'trans kids' - no medication or surgeries - no 'non-binary' - she knows better yet has failed to support her kids to not conform to the latest fad or to develop any critical thinking. Shame on her.

I’ve come to think that a lot of ‘creatives’ / actors must actually on the spectrum. The susceptibility to influence and ability to step wholly into another character is useful when acting. Unfortunately it also makes themselves and their children more susceptible to genderism. Plus, elite, wealthy, very liberal and special.

Malcolm Clark had a very insightful point about how actors spend their lives pretending to be things they're not, and reciting lines written by other people, and that's why they're suckers for causes that prove they're "authentic".

I'd add that A list actors get there by being good looking and charismatic, but many of them aren't very bright.
