"The 18 year-old, understood to have both ADHD and learning difficulties, was sanctioned by the FA in a case depressingly similar to that of a 17 year-old girl with suspected autism who was banned for six matches in October (four of them suspended)."

Another teenage footballer banned for asking if trans opponents were men – The Free Speech Union

"At the National Serious Case Panel hearing that followed she was banned for six matches, two of them suspended, after accepting the charge brought under FA rules which allow people born male to play in women’s matches. She was also forced to undergo an “online education course”, and her club was handed seven disciplinary points."

National Serious Case Panel for calling a man a man. 🤬🤬🤬

Neither does the RFL. The FA are a disgrace.

WhoPutTheBomp · 31/01/2025 17:56

Just awful. Again we see children bullied by these men.

maltravers · 31/01/2025 17:58

The Red Guard will eliminate all bourgeois thoughts about women’s rights. There shall be reeducation and punishment for those who question men’s right to help themselves to women’s stuff.

maltravers · 31/01/2025 18:01

they’re not really believers though. They just DGAF about the rights of women and girls. Easier to punish teenage girls than protect them against the screaming mob of trans virtue. That might be dangerous (to the panel obviously, the girls don’t matter).

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 31/01/2025 18:22

FFS!! 😡

DuesToTheDirt · 31/01/2025 18:41

Crazy crazy. The very fact that there are sanctions for this is astonishing.

If a child asked if I were a man increasingly likely with old age and chin hair, what would I do? Would I get someone to take action against them? I'd just say, "No, I'm a woman," and move on with my day.

Also, if this happened without my knowledge, if the child asked some third party if I were a man, would that third party get the child suspended? Highly unlikely.

thirdfiddle · 31/01/2025 19:46

Awful. I hope very soon they bully the wrong kid and get sued for disability discrimination or belief discrimination or something. And where are the team-mates who should be supporting her?
This makes me so angry. It would make me want to walk away and have nothing to do with them, but just as wrong that this young person should be bullied out of her sport. I do hope she likes rugby too, then she could switch.

zanahoria · 31/01/2025 19:56

The girl should say she identifies as a player who has not been banned

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 31/01/2025 20:07

What I find so infuriating is that all of the bodies connected to Women's Football seem so intent on punishing young women who want to play football.

The punishment is medieval, it's not like she committed an infraction that was connected to the way she was playing football, to punish her so severely for something so trivial is beyond the pale.

This panel is made up of self righteous wankers, they're the ones who should be kicked out of football. 🤬

The draconian nature of the punishment tells its own story IMO. They have to try to hold the line through fear. Because it’s obviously a pile of preposterous BS which people will otherwise ridicule/question/resist. Girls must be made too frightened to speak up.

Applause!

Or what if she identified as transgender and argued she had been discriminated against on the grounds of feeling poorly boo hoo sad? Which is actual violence, actually, and you can actually go to prison.

AstonScrapingsNameChange · 31/01/2025 21:52

It's s disgrace.

She knows she could end up playing against a male, because that's the rules.

It's not unreasonable for her to want to know, in order to give informed consent to the extra risk that entails.

It's gaslighting.

Helleofabore · 31/01/2025 22:15

I very much hope that the FA wakes up that there is a massive issue here. They need to look at who is being harmed in their prioritisation of male people. The vulnerable young women who need football and are now being punished for simply asking a reasonable question.

it is chilling that women are being pu punished for questioning what they are being told and that they have to question their own eyes.

zanahoria · 01/02/2025 10:25

Looking on the bright side, it is good that players are still questioning this madness even though they are throwing bans around.

Keep it up!
