Great thread on the crisis within the Lib Dems over this issue:

It is now 8 months since the Cass Review was published and still there is no formal statement from the @libdems about whether the Party accepts the findings of the Cass Review. For those who are still wondering why, the events of this week help exemplify.

This is not going away. It is pretty clear that within Labour Streeting's approach has the full backing of the party leadership and that position gets stronger every day.
The next election is 5 months away and the Lib Dems will be hoping to gain ground. As it is local elections gender issues are not the main element but it will be still be a time when parties will be open to more scrutiny and questioning.

Along with the Greens and Plaid their attempt to deny reality over time is going to look worse and worse especially as Lib Voice for Women are going to keep pointing this out within the party.

Natalie Bird in court today against the Lib Dems for a costs hearing against them following them admitting they had discriminated against her on the grounds of her gender critical feminist beliefs.

Judge seems pretty pissed off to me, unless I'm just reading too much into it?

Lets hope for big payout!

Great article on background to the madness inside the Lib Dems and Natalie's case:

When did free speech, women’s rights, and science become incompatible with liberalism?

The article discusses the internal conflict within the Liberal Democrats surrounding gender identity and women’s rights, highlighting the case of Natalie Bird, who sued the party for discrimi…

A demographic that can change laws by stealth and alter the ordinary meaning of words; has the backing of political parties, public bodies, NGOs, corporations, government funded lobbying groups, celebrities, social media platforms, and large parts of the mainstream media; has dozens of ‘awareness’ days each year and ubiquitous flags; and has the power to silence and punish those who dissent, is not in the slightest bit marginalised.

Amen to that.

The Lib Dems are the latest not to produce a witness, presumably to avoid making things worse.

I agree, she/he seems pretty testy about the whole thing, which is a shame.

The judge is a woman; in the old since time immemorial sense of a woman. As in not one of the new type, who used to be called Kevin.

I think a decision on costs tomorrow. Lots of legal argy bargy on how costs are decided.

This bit made me smile:

'Now discussing Lizzie Pitt award and the gender fluid dog. Award of £63k. Injury to feelings compensation was £22k for the council conduct towards her was her gender critical views.

J - did the dog file a claim?'

My new MP is a Lib Dem. Only in parliament 5 minutes and his major thing is trans rights.

I've already warned DH I won't be voting for this guy again as at least the Tory candidate looked vaguely sensible.

I think a lot of the Lib Dem activists are a lost cause.
