I watched Titanic and 4 Weddings. Never again.

I distintly remember watching Bridget Jones in the 90s or whenever and I think I've avoided what could be called Chic Flicks ever since. I'd rather clean the house and I hate cleaning.

I've had a word with the pygmy hogs, they're top notch nest builders, and the capybara, joinery and carpentry. They think they can section off a piece of one of the hot springs. Put in a submerged floor, at the right depth for gerbils, decking, changing rooms and saunas, and a hot mud pool (that was the pig's idea). We've inflated some tribbles for bath cushions and floats, flattened some others to use as rugs for the gerbils to relax on. I think some gerbils want to work as masseurs, wherever they're needed, if something needs rubbing, they'll rub it. They're loving the empty* toilet rolls.

*is empty the right word? Surely they're always empty. Perhaps peeled, stripped, skinned?

Research suggests 'tubes' or 'cores' .

I tear mine up to put on the compost heap.
Loo roll tubes, not gerbils. Or even tribbles.

I've never watched Notting Hill. I tried recently, for dear James Dreyfus's sake, but I couldn't get through it.

But more importantly, I’m loving the hot springs addition to The Bluestocking. This pub is amazing in how it expands and accommodates animals of all shapes and sizes. There was a nice piece in The Conversation equating some of the health benefits of hot baths with exercise.

We can just soak all day now with a clear conscience.

I am very pleased to be in the company of people who are so concerned for the welfare and happiness of their - and now words fail me. Fellow beings, staff, team, waiting entities, servants, employees… the gerbils, anyway.
