Prescription of cross sex hormones

I am relieved to see the extension of the ban on puberty blockers to protect kids, but will private clinics just switch to prescribing cross sex hormones? I see there is a case on appeal about this, being covered by Transgender Trend:

On a recent Trans Reddit thread it was stated that GenderGP are legally prescribing CSH to males who are under 16. Apparently it is more difficult for females as testosterone is a controlled drug.

Even more worrying is the number of kids who are getting online coaching on how to DIY hormones. One child on Reddit who is taking this approach, without their parents knowledge, is only 13.

I was always under the impression that puberty blockers were being adopted (to a large extent) to side-step age restrictions on cross-sex hormones. Novelty is an "advantage" - it takes time for the law to catch up with new drugs - recreational, performance enhancing or whatever. Although in the UK it now has.

But I've not actually looked into the matter to check what exactly the CSH restrictions are - either in the UK or elsewhere. Any information would be welcome.

Presumably while also being coached on how their parents are a danger to them, so it's much better to do it this way.

(That's the bit I worry about with my own daughter. I don't get to see everything that influences her. I just hope she doesn't return to being gender questioning and that if she does, she's knows I'm not the enemy)

We could all do a concerted report to the powers that be and have that sub reddit taken down for encouraging violence and encouraging children to hurt them selves

Thanks for this, I followed on Tribunal Tweets - what an important service they have provided. I don’t know who is behind it, but I really appreciate what they do, so that we and the press actually know what is going on. Bring on the sunlight, that is what is changing attitudes and helping protect children and women’s rights.
