@@DodoPatrol @UndeniablyGenX Sorry, must’ve worded message badly due to late hour 😱- I meant karma for Pink News - who run scurrilous stories with no fact checking!

CaveMum · 10/12/2024 10:21

ErrolTheDragon · 10/12/2024 10:13

Tbh I doubt it.

Finding out that people have been subjected to sexual abuse, workplace bullying and misogyny isn't really a cause for celebration. It's more wry smile territory.

True, and I in no way am celebrating the people have suffered. More that the fragrant Benjamin is getting his comeuppance after blatantly targeting JKR with misogynistic bile for years.

YesterdaysFuture · 10/12/2024 10:37

PinkNews, a website that is concerned over transphobia when reporting about trans women sexually assaulting people, is now investigated over sexual misconduct.

Well you can accuse PinkNews of many things, but not hypocrisy.

FranticFrankie · 10/12/2024 10:44

Well I’m shocked I tell you. Shocked.
(that the bbc are reporting on it)

StickItInTheFamilyAlbum · 10/12/2024 10:47

This is a very clear example as to why we should not encourage people to bring their whole selves to work if it exposes others to poor behaviour.
There seems to be a very thin line between libertarian beliefs and licentiousness for some people.

This is the only bit I feel uneasy with, the BBC are desperate to point the finger at all other (rival) media outlets to divert attention away from what they themselves allow to happen behind the scenes.

I'm glad that this is being revealed, but also aware of the BBC's intentions.

MrGHardy · 10/12/2024 11:52

I am shocked I tell you, shocked!

And Julie Bindel, who sued them and won IIRC?

ErrolTheDragon · 10/12/2024 12:58

I'm not on X so I don't know if she's said more than this remarkably restrained post.Grin

WarriorN · 10/12/2024 14:30

She has rt a lot, and has also said:

I wish the very worst for the owners and management of Prick News, on behalf of all women, and in particular lesbians; all of those campaigning to end men’s violence against women and girls; gender non-conforming kids; gay men. It deserves to sink into a swamp of oblivion.

And

1/2 After I screwed Prick News into the ground, following 18 months of litigation that cost them a fortune in both time and money (we settled), I received a threatening letter from their lawyers, insisting I stopped sharing the fact I had sued.

They had no grounds, as I would NEVER have signed an NDA. They must HATE being reminded. So I upped the anti and shared even more. Can you help me please? If you hate that vile homophobic, woman hating rag, share the statement. Thank you x

So she's rt anyone who's said "JB sued them didn't she? And won?"

And is LOVNG it.

@WarriorN - Grin ace.

MounjaroUser · 10/12/2024 14:55

multiple former staff members have told the BBC they had experienced bullying and sexual misconduct which made some of them feel unsafe to be alone around Mr Cohen and Dr James. Allegations of misogyny have also emerged and several people told us that some young female members of staff had been asked to act as the couple's surrogates

Absolutely outrageous.

TwistedWonder · 10/12/2024 14:57

I wonder if any of our resident MRA’s will have anything to say on this seeing as this seems to be their news outlet of all that is good and truthful and holy and the owners are seen as paragons of virtue in the face of such nasty hateful womenz

OP posts:
BreadInCaptivity · 10/12/2024 15:00

Misogyny found in a workplace that has actively been promoting the erasure of women's rights....now who could have predicted that 🤷‍♀️

WarriorN · 10/12/2024 15:02

Oooh twitter today.

I mean, it’s a bit ageist too. Cheeky.

The only thing that surprises me here is that the BBC are running the story 😮

They're even making a documentary!! Wooooop

FranticFrankie · 10/12/2024 17:25

The staff members are brave - takes guts to speak out
Awful experience for them

CaptainCarrotsBigSword · 10/12/2024 17:27

Thanks for the X screenshots, I'm not on there.
