Hi, my child's school (primary) is switching to this scheme. Does anyone have any insight into the teaching around gender identity/trans issues? From what I've seen they don't explicitly teach around trans identity but wondered if anyone has any real life experience of this scheme?
Thanks

PS I've had details from the school about the RSE element of the scheme and gender doesn't seem to crop up, but haven't seen a detailed overview about the rest of the PSHE scheme.

Hi OP, sorry to see that you haven't had any responses yet. I put your thread on "watch" because it's a key subject I'm interested in but I don't have any knowledge of this group.

Have you looked on (do you know about) the Transgender Trend, Bayswater and Safe School Alliance pages to see if this provider has been reviewed by any of them?

Even if they haven't, there are some useful tips on what you could ask the school.

Also, you could ask the school to send you a copy of all the materials for KS1 (if your child is still this age) and KS2. Under the previous government, the Education Secretary made it clear that schools should provide these materials to parents on request. She said that the statutory guidance on PHSE would be updated to say this... and obviously we then had an election. So it's a bit of a grey area as to whether schools have to do this, but it's also a bit of a red flag if they say that they won't let you see it.
