I'm going to be busy at the end of the month so a little early - and an urgent request for Amelia Sparrow.

Pilgrim Tucker agreed a settlement with the Open University so no longer needs help but a reminder that Almut Gadrow’s case is ongoing and will come to court in February/ March 2005.

For Women Scotland’s case for the Supreme Court has also been added.

Amelia Sparrow is Challenging Bullying and Harassment in the Liberal Democrat Party. The Lib Dems have admitted they were at fault with Natalie Bird. Recent update says "Following the preliminary hearing, the full hearing has been listed for July 2025. I have Judicial Mediation listed for Friday this week (29th November) for which I need to raise £2,000 urgently for legal representation. "

Almut Gadow is suing the Open University - standing against indoctrination and for academic freedom Her lawyer is now at Doyle Clayton, who represented Maya, LGB Alliance and others. Hearing will be in Feb/March next year and the OU need to see women will go on fighting. Be good to push this over £100k and it's very close now.
.
Sara Morrison is bringing a Discrimination case against Belfast Film Festival The case has been listed for Hearing for 5 days, commencing on 13th January 2025.

For women Scotland have a stretch target for UK Supreme Court: The Definition of Sex in the Equality Act

Protect single sex facilities at work had a hearing in early October.. Naomi Cunningham will be representing Faye. No ruling on anonymity yet but there will be another try for this.

Andreas Mueller is a Public servant sued for saying sex is binary. There was a hearing on 22nd October 2024 which covered anonymity for the complainant and trying to get this case joined with Elspeth’s similar case.

That case can be found as Chair of SEEN sued for saying 'only women menstruate' and will be a 16 day hearing next year. Anonymity for the claimant was refused.

Eleanor Frances was victimised after whistleblowing over Civil Service impartiality. Initial target reached but stretch target.

Simon Chambers was Assaulted and refused service at a pub for supporting women’s rights. There are 23 claimants in this action. There was a Review of the cases before the County Court Judge in Belfast on 16th September 2024 but no update on what happened. Funding seems to have stalled, they really need to update.

Linzi Smith was banned and spied on for my beliefs. Linzi is a Newcastle United fan banned from the club. Letters before action were sent to Newcastle United and the Premier League in May, no update on their response (if any).

Sarah Holman was Harassed and Victimised for supporting Women’s Rights. Initial target was met, there is a stretch target. Employment tribunal case.

In Defence of Academic Freedom by Adult Human Female is an employment tribunal case against UCU for unlawfully discriminating against academics and the directors of the documentary because of their protected 'gender critical' beliefs.

Help Sarah’s Legal Challenge to Secure Female Only Rape Crisis Therapy. More funding still needed. Think I’d be looking for a different lawyer as this one seems unable to get the case to court.

Mrs A wants people to help me ensure my child doesn't medically transition outside the NHS She has been given leave to take her case to the Court of Appeal and that needs a large target.

Ursula Doyle was "hounded out of my job in publishing" and has a stretch target. The final hearing will take place next year, from the 8-17 September 2025.

Help Emma sue David Lloyd - is still live, garden is not in the usual place and she is less than half way to target.

Emma Bateman has been expelled from the Green party yet again, Look for The Green Party must respect our sex! It's a long way from target.

Let women play pool! has a stretch target and its pledge button is back.

Giggle's garden can be found by googling Giggle crowdfunding. An Australian court so different laws and a large appeal target.

Sharer Alie was looking for funds under Worthy of Respect in A Political Party after his latest suspension. He may need to take further legal action although they have, for now, reinstated him.

I had not realised that Ben Cooper's role in the Supreme Court was funded by Sex Matters. Details on this page https://sex-matters.org/posts/updates/sex-matters-at-the-supreme-court/

Mrs A the mother in Help me ensure my child doesn't medically transition outside the NHS will have her case heard in 2 weeks. She doesnt have enough money to fund good legal advice.

Update this morning from Ms A, who is trying to protect her teenage daughter from private hormone treatment:

"It is just under two weeks before my appeal will be heard by the Court of Appeal. My solicitors have heard from the Court of Appeal that the case will be live-streamed. The Civil Appeals Office said:

"Certain proceedings of the Court of Appeal’s Civil Division are now live-streamed to increase open justice and improve public access and understanding of the justice system. This means that high profile and legally significant cases in the court would be made available in the way that UK Supreme Court hearings habitually are."

The link for viewing the case is www.judiciary.uk/the-court-of-appeal-civil-division-live-streaming-of-court-hearings/.

Please do consider donating to the case and share this page with friends and family. Thank you so much for your help in bringing my case to this crucial moment. The ruling of the Court will be significant for all young people and their families where gender treatment is sought from the private sector.

With all best wishes,

Ms A"

Carrots, parsnips and potatoes can be planted in the usual justice gardening spot by typing "please help me ensure my child".

"Help Sarah’s Legal Challenge to Secure Female Only Rape Crisis Therapy. More funding still needed. Think I’d be looking for a different lawyer as this one seems unable to get the case to court"

Can Sarah do much better than Didlaw and Naomi Cunningham? Sarah's the first service user (as far as I know) to bring a case herself so maybe its just very hard to do. I'll keep supporting her as long as she's willing and able to keep going.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 01/12/2024 15:35

And thanks for the list @anyolddinosaur I like to plant a few seeds in different gardens each month and it really helps me to be reminded who else needs them.

anyolddinosaur · 01/12/2024 21:13

Naomi Cunningham is a barrister and wont be involved in the process of getting a court date, other than saying when she's available. She could be instructed by other solicitors. Didlaw sound OK but although there are big delays other cases come to court in shorter timescales, I dont get what the issue is.
