I am fully accepting of the idea that people can dress and act how they like. Even using pronouns that don't match their birth sex.
But trans people are a different category. They're not the sex they wish/feel to be, they are a trans-(wo)man. Separate. Which is fine, no better or worse. But people with penises do not belong in female sport, prisons, or refuges. Of course they should still be catered for, but either in a trans specific area or space.
Absolutely no way should puberty blockers, hormones or surgery be given to under 18s. The parent should not be consenting on the kids behalf on these things. They should seek therapy or just embrace the fact they're not gender conforming. Then if they want medicine later on that's their choice. I'm not sure if it should be an NHS treatment in all circumstances.

This is a masterpiece! Truly breathtaking.

My favourite part was when it claimed that the Democrats have been unfairly demonising those who voted for trans people to be ejected from the US military, blocked from transitioning and banned from public life without mentioning the ongoing Republican smear campaigns to paint all trans people as pedophiles and groomers by recycling last generation's homophobic rhetoric.

I am strongly agsinst the idea that trans people should be ejected from the military or public life (or other jobs, or housing, etc, etc). This is actual transphobia. However, they should expect to be treated as the sex they are, in these roles/in life generally.

However - men who
a) Appropriate female-ness

and/or

b) Get a sexual kick out of pretending to be (their idea of) female

and

c) Want to force their way into female-only spaces

... are by definition abusive.

But if they’re on daily medication or have any medical conditions arising from drugs or surgery, then it makes sense that they shouldn’t be in the military.

And yes, if they are physically & medically ok, they should definitely be sharing accommodation with their own sex.

That isn't trans. Tran people want to be treated as if they the opposite sex, so to be trans and part of the military they will expect or make those demands. These two facts are incompatible.

Edited

Someone recently posted the US military's conditions for active soldiers and it included that they could not be on medication? There was a suggestion that the free medical care (drugs and surgery to enable transitioning) encouraged trans identifying people to join up but once they start down the route of transitioning then they are only allowed to be "back office" staff as taking medication disbars them from front line duties?
