The convicted rapist sends his support to the rape crisis centre supporting victims of rape. In any other circumstance I’d say Jesus Christ they will send back to support. But after the way Edinburgh rape crisis centre have behaved over the last 2 years, who knows how they’ll acknowledge his support?

If there was any more evidence needed that ERCC needs to be defunded, shut down and the managers of Beiras place get all their funding to set up a new centre, this is it.

When a convicted rapist is saying you're running the rape crisis centre in a way he approves of you really do need to throw in the towel and accept you are likely harming the very people you're supposed to support. Plus pissing taxpayers money away.

Why is he commenting? Presumably as he enjoys the idea his victims might not be able to access support / be retraumatised by the current ERCC setup? I cannot think of another reason.

He is a transwoman, who has been placed in a woman's jail (albeit briefly) according to what was then policy.

His views are pertinent. He is a rapist and abuser, and we should be able to hear what he advocates for; it's useful information if we wish to learn how best to protect women.

Bryson is a very clear illustration of what feminists have been trying to warn society about for years.

I also think it's great to report this - that a double rapist think men should be in women's prisons and rape shelters is not a great big shock to us, but should really make people stop and think. It definitely counters the "most vulnerable," or "only want to pee," arguments.

I think the lack of female pronouns in the article shows the reporter also thinks that he's being given enough rope to hang himself, rather than spreading inspirational messages.

Of course he supports men in frocks in charge of a place that supports women at their most vulnerable, its an all you can eat buffet for predators, a rapists wet dream!

JKR, and all right minded people should be proud to hold the opposite view to this creature. In fact its a handy way of checking your thinking, 'would a man in a frock think this is a good idea?' if the answer is yes, then obviously its really really bad.
